We stayed for 3 nights in August and explored the areas around Dörtyol ( Iskanderun, Payas, all the way down coast to Silfilke).
We enjoyed our stay and would come again. The hotel was almost empty and we took a suite on the top floor with a view of the sea. Huge windows, comfortable bed and bedding. We slept very well but I wonder if one would get any rest if there would have been a wedding party on the floor above. Make sure you ask and if there is a party or wedding, take a room towards the back and lower floors. Otherwise top floor towards the sea is best choice.
The hotel is very new, thus fresh, and the decor modern. We liked the wooden floors in the room.
The A/C worked well but it took us 5 hours to cool it down upon arrival as it did not seem to have been on for quite some time. If you know your room ( we changed ours) and you come during summer months, maybe ask staff to pre-cool it.
We had dinner once. The prices are very reasonable and food tasty. Service was excellent. Buffet breakfast was ok to good. The only two faults would be that the tea tasted really awful and despite there being a machine that looked like an italian espresso machine, they did not have espresso or cappucino ( though I have not been able to get one in any hotel in Hatay). Their Turkish coffee, however, was excellent!
+We did not try the spa but it seems to be popular.
++ Staff and management were helpful, friendly and professional.
- Parking was not shaded and on dusty gravel but it looked like there were plans to change that.
+There is a Migros on the corner of the building, perfect to stock up on water and snacks for a picnic or hike.
- The hotel location on the map is incorrect at the moment. Despite there being big signs for the hotel all over Hatay province, there are no direction signs in Dörtyol. We asked at the BP or Shell gasoline station and found it quickly after that. As it is 'the' hotel in 'town', just ask someone. Everyone is so friendly and helpful it will not be difficult to find.
+ We did not have a card for the taxed highway ( superfast and great road), so the hotel manager phoned in a favor and we were able to pick one up at gasoline station. Brilliant!
No wedding or event on top floor: splurge for a suite or take a regular room on highest floor toward...
