We've frequented Riverside for the past 3 years and have never had a bad experience here. Located on the southeast side of the island, it takes a while to get here from the west coast and for visitors it might be difficult to find if not provided good directions.... just be patient in your drive... as I said, it takes while to get here.. but when you do, you won't be disappointed... the restaurant is always clean and the cooking is good with both local and French dishes available. Situated directly on the banks of a river the environment is always cool and there are many places where you can easily get in the water should you want to take a dip. --- Note that about a quarter mile north of the restaurant is one of the "blackest" black sand beaches you will find on Dominica... drivers will get a glimpse of it from the road as they drive by... it is at this point where you can park and easily walk to the beach which stretches for a good distance... this probably is not a good place to swim because of currents but it is incredibly scenic!
