1. Shuttle Service
Efficient and on time, he was waiting for us with a placard with our names on it when we arrived at Sta. Fe port. Ride from the port to the resort only takes about 5 minutes, in fact, you can see the port when you are at their beach front.
We booked a single villa for our stay. The difference of this villa is that unlike all the other rooms which are attached to each other, it wasn't which means your balcony is all yours. Outside, you'll notice a lot of plants. Before going up to your room, there is a spot where you can wash your feet to avoid getting sand in the room, very good idea, although they could have gone a step further and made it a shower instead, just a thought.
The room is small but sufficient for 2 people, you have an awesome bed (slept like a baby here), a cabinet for your stuff, a 32 inch LCD TV with built in DVD and an a/c unit. Cable was not working when we were there due to the damages to the cables so the TV was not used - at all. Aircon was cold. You get 2 fluffy towels, 3 pillows and a thick enough blanket. Bathroom has a bidet and a working shower heater. They give a fresh set of towels, shampoo, soap and toothpaste daily. For the room, I would recommend thicker curtains so that when people want to take siestas in the afternoon, the room can be dark, but that's just me.
The sand is fine, yes, but not white and not powdery soft, my hubby even commented that that kind of sand would make good cement. It was mostly cream or off white then gradually became gray when you get to the water. We saw a lot of gray "poop-like" mounds on the beach which we believe is what the gray sand is as it smells bad. The water is very shallow, which my swimmer husband did not enjoy. If you go further, there were a lot of sea grass and rocks, this was in low tide, we never got a chance to swim in high tide, it may be different then.
The grounds are well kept. This is a really beautiful resort. Mini playground is available too.
We had a total of 3 meals in the resort. All of them quite good with generous servings. Nothing extraordinary though. Instant 3 in 1 coffee seemed to be better than the brewed one, funny.
The crew are very nice. They always had smiles on their faces and are quite efficient. The owner was there and was very polite, when the circuit breaker broke, he informed and asked the customers in the restaurant first if it would be ok to shut off electricity for a few minutes so they can fix it, I really appreciate that courtesy.
Wifi is available only in the restaurant/main lobby. Slow but good enough for emails and a little Facebook.
