4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

visited the wolds village tea room and restaurant with my parents for lunch mid week. A very warm welcome by the staff and the blazing log fire. we enjoyed the home cooked food, with lots of veg. only 2 people could manage the puddings. we also enjoyed a look round the gallery afterwards. all in all a good visit, thank you

“Very family friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

Having visited the Wold Village earlier this year, we decided to re-book and bring our family here over the Christmas Period. We were quite a large party, six adults and two young children. During our earlier visit I had noticed a very large square table in one corner of the restaurant and thought that this would be just perfect for our needs. As it turned out, my choice was just right and the whole family fitted in very well. As it was only two days since Christmas, non of us were wanting alot of food but the menu catered for everyone's needs admirably. My Argentinean daughter in law was very impressed with the quality of the food and service and the child friendly attitude of all the staff. It was so nice to be able to take young children to a restaurant and feel they were welcome. Well done. We shall certainly return ourselves on another occasion.

“Amazing food lovely staff beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

As we had a room here i booked a table for dinner, as it was a very special occasion i asked to be put in a quite corner... Wow a little snug with wood pannel walls and an amazing feature room. We made our choices and ordered. All the staff where very polite and full of smiles which is wonderful to see. We both ordered the mushrooms and i thought i had lost my newly wedded husband already as he could have ran off with the sauce it came with. It was delicious! The main was just as good very good portion sizes and i would happily have paid more as the quality was out standing. We decided to take dessert to our room and they where only too happy to oblige. The next day we had breakfast what a delight i had the best sausages i have ever had! My husband was pleased for the meat free options too. The manager.... I am guessing who served us was very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Can't wait to return what a wonder place. The thank you wolds village!

“Always a good place for food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

We've been visiting Wolds Village for about 10 years on and off.
We especially like the old world feel, the home cooked food and the fact that they cater for adults, with very few childern to be found so the quiet atmosphere is not spoilt.
The prices have risen a lot over the years so we now go less frequently but the quality of the food has remained to the same high standard.
A very good place to visit if you want a snack, lunch or dinner.
The art gallery and gift shop are an added bonus.

“Lovely find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Just dropped in on the way up to Whitby. Pleased we did! Lovely place for a meal or just a snack. The scones and jam/cream are delicious! Attractive setting with a lovely craft shop and art gallery to browse around. Nice outdoor courtyard to sit in the sun and enjoy a break too. Will certainly visit again.
