“Such a friendly place - we always feel so welcome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

We returned to Wolds Village 3 months after trying it out for the first time and I've been dying to get back ever since! Our first visit was on a busy bank holiday and could have been a little daunting but the staff were genuinely warm and friendly and really put us at ease. We had the Afternoon tea which had received an excellent review by the food critic in the Yorkshire Post and yep, he was right - it was a joy!

This time I had the steak with pepper sauce. Well, what a treat! The steak was cooked to perfection, so tender and the sauce was moreish. Once again front of house staff were friendly and chatty and we were made to feel so welcome which is important to me.

Afterwards we wandered around the gallery, I've been inspired by a couple of the exhibited artists on both visits - the work currently on show by Ian Mitchell particularly caught my eye.

In short, if you're looking for good, honest food as well as an environment where people really to care then you shouldn't hesitate...

Wolds village is a little piece of heaven on the Yorkshire Wolds. The restaurant serves delicious food time and time again. The gift shop is a little aladins cave full of treasures. The gallery constantly displays amazing pieces and the art trail through the woods never fails to delight. All our family think this is an amazing place and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

We stopped here after walking in Driffield with our dog, We sat outside (due to having the dog with us) on a sunny afternoon in the courtyard and it was so lovely and relaxing and we were made to feel really welcome with our dog. We opted for homemade scones with jam and cream and a pot of coffee and they were lovely and the service was great.

There's also a lovely little shop and gallery here, we'll definately be going back

Haven't stayed in the accommodation so can't rate however the food in the restaurant is very good, great menu and very nice surroundings, seating outside in the courtyard where dogs are welcome. Little shop is full of curiosities and there's a small art gallery with a fine selection of art work for sale. Worth stopping for a look.

Loved the themed rooms, we stayed in the Gothic room and loved it! once the light is out the room does go very dark but i found this better as helped me get to sleep!
Very clean and the service is great in both the room part and restaurant.
The food was also good, really enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend to anybody thinking of staying here.

I recently stayed at Wolds Village, which is a sympathetic conversion of the old Manor Farm buildings. It offers a high standard of accommodation and good food, in delightful surroundings.
The hotel rooms are comfortable, well appointed and reflect the care with which this 'family business' has been created; everyone involved is friendly and intent on making the customer's visit an enjoyable one.
