Called in when passing one teatime for dinner, we had no reservation but the staff were most accommodating, there were already people waiting to go in at six when they opened...............Always a good sign. A traditional country pub nicely decorated with air conditioning. The menu was very nice, we chose, salmon & prawn salad, with chips, gammon with egg & pineapple, chips and salad. Half roast duck in cherry sauce with chips and salad and trad fish, chips and mushy peas. All very nicely presented and wasn't long arriving at our table, if anything too much food. Most had choice of new pots or chips and salad or veg. The pudding menu looked fab but I was too full to squeeze one in.
Everyone enjoyed their food and the waiter was very charming!
