“Secluded Yurt with private terrace set with acres of lush green cork forest with stunning mountain views.”
"Wow what a holiday, we had an absolutely smashing time, one that will be hard to beat! We've always enjoyed the great outdoors and this magical place truly surpassed our expectations.
Our three year old boy Archie was in his element, getting mucky, making dens, finding pirate treasure and playing with Maddy 'Moo' Dog - the friendliest finca dog ever! Many a glass of Rioja was enjoyed hanging out in the evening sun through to the star lit nights on our private terrace. We really did relax and totally forgot about our hectic life back in London. One thing we would advise is to stock up with provisions on route as you won't be in any hurry to leave once you arrive at Cloud House Farm.
The family who own the farm were really friendly and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived at the yurt - an ice cold beer and a hammock to swing in, which after the bumpy ride on the track to get there was appreciated and a great way to start our break.
We've never stayed in a yurt before and we definitely will again. After loads of camping holidays in our tent this really was luxurious, with a big comfy bed and loads of head space making it a really nice airy space to hang out in. Cooking in the outside kitchen was great too, soaking up the evening sun, listening to our favourite tunes and following recommended recipes from the owners with fresh local produce gathered from both the farm and local village - as a mum and someone who enjoys cooking I have not only fond memories but new recipes to add to my repetoire!
This isn't just somewhere to stay and put your head down for the night, it's set in a beautiful location in a part of Andalusia that is off the beaten track but within easy reach to both the coast, white villages and historic Ronda is less than 2 hours drive away.
We will definitely be back.
