“best fine dining in Owen Sound region”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

We have eaten at this beautifully located dining room with a view of Georgian Bay several times. We chose it to celebrate our 25th anniversary this week knowing that the food would be of the best quality and well presented. The salads are green and crisp. The steak is prepared as per order.I tried the halibut for the first time and it was sumptuous.
Nicely appointed decor, with a leading golf course off the patio, combined with excellent cuisine makes any occasion special when dining here.

My 6th or 7th stay and play at Cobble Beach. Outstanding food and service and the Carrick designed golf course is getting even better with age. I can't say enough about what a special experience this is. Bravo!

Attended a Board Meeting held at the Inn. What an unforgettable experience! Arrived in time for drinks on the deck watching the sun set on the Sound. Great dinner from the Inn's restaurant with a fine bottle of wine. Comfortable and well furnished room with a wonderful bed. Next day productive meetings in a very quiet and comfortable meeting room equiped with a large screen wall monitor for easy viewing. Followed by another wonderful dinner at the Inn. Our last day was the best ever, 18 holes on the fantastic golf course before we left. Don't know if the decisions we made were any better than usual, but memories of the meetings are better than any we have ever had in the past.

Room Tip: Of the rooms I saw, each had its own special features and all looked very appealing, but I would rec...

Oops! Sorry.....I filled in the review in the wrong spot! See the tips section and know that we found Cobble Beach and it's staff ranking as excellent! The wedding we attended went off without any problems and all involved praised Cobble Beach.
It is defintely worth the drive and you don't have to golf. Just go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and know that it will be special.
We did not stay overnight, but expect rooms to be excellent, based on our experiences. Some of the wedding party stayed overnight and loved it.
Bravo to this waterfront resort!

Room Tip: We visited Cobble Beach Golf Links for the first time to attend a friend's daughter's weddin...

When we planned our overnight getaway to Cobble Beach, it did not include our children!
Then we were faced with a choice, cancel (as our sitter did) or take them along. We spoke with the very helpful staff on a few different occasions and they all agreed that we should load up our gang and still make the trip. As the other comments state, the club house and hotel rooms were incredible, the views spectacular and the staff could not have been more accommodating. My kids are 7 and 9 and they had a blast on our escape from the city. They loved the lofted room they got to sleep in, they loved the continental breakfast and they loved watching the golfers buzz around on their carts all day.
We rode our bikes all around the new developments and even headed off-road to tour the enchanted forest in search of the handcrafted woodcarvings that were hidden amongst the trees. As for the beach.... the kids ran in and out of the water, built sand castles that turned into villages and skipped hundreds of rocks....we were there for 3 hours!
We had dinner in the dining room and again, the staff were incredible. They brought "fancy" drinks for the kids and extra fries saying "happy kids make for happy parents".
The front staff and the manager had arranged for us to have a bomb fire on the patio after dinner. They even hung around telling us great stories of the animals that roam the course throughout the year, all while we roasted marshmallow and gobbled up homemade smores!
I would have enjoyed sneaking away from the city with my husband for a romantic night at Cobble, but I truly believe that the time we spent there with the kids will be even more memorable.
Thank you to all who made everything run so smoothly for us. We hope to come back again soon.

I just love staying at the Inn at Cobble Beach Resort & Spa. The staff always go out of their way to make me feel more than welcome each time I visit. The rooms are beautifully appointed and kept exceptionally clean. Every little detail has been looked after - from the high quality linens to the fluffy fresh towels. There is even soft music playing when you enter your room and chocolates waiting for you on your pillow! I always get a great night's sleep with the super-comfy beds and love the quiet of this small Inn located away from the main road. The location on the water is stunning and offers a welcome opportunity to relax. And to top it all off breakfast is brought to your room every morning! This Inn is truly my home away from home that I will visit again and again.

Room Tip: Every room is exceptional at this Inn. They have something for everyone, from the single business t...
