Other reviews say all there is about the view from the bar and restaurant - it is lovely. And the walks along Lathkil Dale are great as well. Combine the view, walks and a good selection of beers at the bar, and a good fire in winter, and there is a good reason to visit.
The food, however, is a little disappointing - not bad, but rather average. The dining room is also lacking in character and so you probably would not plan a visit for a special meal, were it not for the view, walks and beer...!
