“Heavenly Stopover”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

A heavenly stop over for us after having camped for 9 nights before our arrival at African Vineyard. Exquisite rooms, very luxurious with stunning decor and bespoke furniture and fittings. Delicious dinner and breakfast too! Will return!

Well it was very nice to stay over for two nights. This venue is the closest you can get to heaven on earth. Luxury, tranquillity and excellent food. The location is excellent if you require to see the Augrabies Waterfall and the lower Orange River Wine and Vineyards Farms. Upington is close by for shopping and general historical sightseeing.

Everything was perfect: the family atmosphere, the hosts, the food, the room, the unique garden and the sweet birds .
Our room was lovely and we slept like babies in the cuddly beds.
First class accommodation!

Thank you for the wonderful time! Till soon

African Vineyard Guesthouse took my breath away. Completely. Traveling in the summer heat from Bloemfontein and arriving at this absolute oasis was much more that we bargained for. Our beautifully furnished - mega spacious room filled with so much attention to detail plus a very charming host made our stay one of the best ever. The lush vineyards form both the backdrop to and the view from your room - from your BED if you like! Breakfast served on the stoep was relaxed, unhurried and totally delightful.

The booking was made for us on the recommendation of a new business contact. The welcome, the rooms, the view and the meals are simply the best I have ever experienced. It is as simple as that! Words are somehow inadequate; you simply have to experience this.
I will return.

Room Tip: The rooms are all beautiful and unique.

African Vineyard took our breaths away. Apart from the green, lush gardens and beautifully decorated farm-style rooms, the food was wonderful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast on the patio was picture perfect. We've never experienced such a large "room" - well done in creating an unique guesthouse!
