Had the pleasure of sharing a birthday celebration at this restaurant and it certainly exceeded expectations. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu is huge, with a full range of Dim Sum, traditional Thai Starters, Thai Salads, Soups, Curries, Stir Fries, vegetarian options and of course the Chef's Specials.
I opted for the steamed Dim Sum starter of Sa La Pao Nuea which were spicy beef dumplings filled with mushrooms, coriander, ginger and garlic served with a soya and chilli sauce. These were freshly made and you could taste the wonderful aromas of the coriander and ginger and then a mild bite from the spicy beef!
For the main I chose the Chef's Special of Par Nueng Sam Rod which was the steamed fish on a bed of fresh vegetables served with a choice of oyster sauce, red or green curry sauce or Thai spicy sauce. I chose the red curry sauce but I also tried it with some of the Thai spicy sauce which was equally as fantastic. This was one of the nicest main courses I have ever had at a Thai restaurant! The flavours were amazing, especially the sauce, the vegetables were colourful and fresh and not overcooked and the fish was soft and tender but still firm with not a single bone. There was a side of steamed rice but I did not even get to touch that as the main was so good on its own.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the quality of food is certainly good value for money. I will definitely be back again!
