The castle is strategically built between 2 lakes by monks in the 13th century. Now a nice hotel where everything lived up to expectations. One would have expected more flowers in the gardens in a place like this but there are most trees and lawns, all nice kept. Rooms were fresh and cosy, we stayed in a house called "Humlan" (it was much cheaper) and not in the actual castle. Dinner was good (my fish was a little on the dry side but I should have known better than to order mountain fish in the south of Sweden). Dessert with raspberry mousse and liquorice sauce was wonderful. Overall a nice experience which I wouldn't hesitate to repeat.
