“The Best B&B in Tasmania”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Eagle Nest III is a fantastic House. The best B&B we have ever stayed in. Every single compliments been said about this place rang true to life for us. From the stunning views of Mount Roland to the architecturally superb designed house. We would love to enlist Des Brown as a design consultant for our next home. Every aspect of your accommodation requirements have been thought of artistically with attention to details and comfort in mind. An array of great facilities for self catering, star gazing, spa, camp fire etc… love to stay here forever...

Room Tip: Eagle Next III is the newest house - make sure you get a map from Des to help with the direction oth...

We stayed in Nest 1 for 6 nights (15-21 March). We were in need of serious levels of relaxation, privacy, space, body pampering and a sense of reconnecting with beauty, art and nature - mission accomplished! Photos cannot do justice to just how superb this experience was for us. To have the whole place to ourselves and wake up each day to the awesomeness of Mount Roland (which Presents as much much closer and imposing than photos suggest) and go to sleep while watching the stars above through the skylight above the bed was magic and totally romantic. We made daily use of the fantastic jacuzzi and spa baths which very much assisted in the body pampering department. Eagles Nest is just a 5 minute drive from Sheffield which is reknowned for its murals and well worth several visits. Its people are very friendly and welcoming to visitors. it is an easy drive to Devonport & the North Coast towns and Launceston as well as not too much drama to get to Cradle Mountain. The breakfast supplies & snacks in our welcome pack were replete with local goodies and plentiful. We can thoroughly recommend Nick who created a delicious restaurant quality meal for us on our last evening before we retired to the outside spa to say goodbye to the stars and 'our mountain'. We will definitely return!

My family, friends and I spent the recent March long weekend staying in absolute luxury in Eagles Nest 2. The experience was unforgettable and we would all recommend it as the BEST place to celebrate a special occasion. Everything was supplied, including nibbles, chocolates, the very best breakfast provisions and bubblebath for the 3 spa baths. We never left the place for three days - where else would we possily want to go? We experienced idyllic weather in idyllic surroundings - and my camera was given a great work out as I attempted to catch Mount Roland's ever-changing moods throughout our stay. The outdoor spa was a real highlight as we headed there both day and night, dressed in robes, with champagne in hand, totally enjoying the magnificent spectacle surrounding us on all sides. An outstanding Tasmanian experience - thank you Des for sharing your nest with us all and making my 50th birthday celebrations absolutely memorable!

Spent 2 unforgettable nights at eagles nest, the accommodation and surroundings are beautiful and private with such attention to detail, you could spend a whole day just exploring the facilities. We both had an amazing massage from Pauline when we arrived, and Nick cooked a magnificent 3 course meal the next night. We did not expect that there would be so much to see and do in the surrounding towns, and unfortunately didn't allow ourselves enough time to take it all inn, but we will defiantly be returning. There is something suitable for all ages - we enjoyed an adventitious canyon tour at cradle mountain and you could spend a whole day exploring the art work, marble shop and antique stores in the small town of Shefield, about a 7 minute drive from eagles nest.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Eagle's Nest retreat with our closest friends and family to celebrate our wedding. We booked out all 3 nests and our guests (and ourselves) were extremely impressed with the accommodation. The facilities are wonderful but the view and the surroundings are the real attraction- absolutely breathtaking! We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend such a special day. We had the ceremony outside Eagle's Nest Two and Des was fantastic in assisting us with organising the details of the day. We also utilised the 'dreamchef' experience to cater for the wedding and could not recommend Nick more highly- people are still raving about the delicious food! A magical three days we will never forget. We will most certainly be back again!!

We have stayed at Eagles Nest II twice. The first time was when we booked both Eagles Nest I & II for our wedding. The second time was a relaxing get-away for our family. When we first inspected the venue, I noted that it is one of those rare places where it looks better in person than in the photos! Des is warm and accommodating, and certainly not intrusive. Everyone at our wedding raved about the Nest and the location. If you are after Tasmanian and want a destination wedding without the hassle then Eagles Nest is worth a look - you won't regret it.

We stayed in nest 1 only for 1 night unfortunately. We had such a lovely relaxing night away. Such a beautiful spot with world class views of mt Roland. Des the owner met us the following morning and was such a friendly man. There were lots of yummy goodies on arrival too. The spa pool upstairs was good but the temperature of the water was a bit too cool for our liking. The outdoor spa is a lovely touch and so relaxing which my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall we had a great night away.
