We got a great offer for room and breakfast and we were very excited for our stay. The hotel has great charm,is well designed and has style. We booked an evening meal to complete our stay. We are not difficult people to please and so on arrival we were delighted with the room, even though there were many faults such as broken lights,tv not fully working and no local area information or even information about the hotel and it's history, location and facilities. We had an excellent set meal and the young lady in the restaurant was delightful and helpful. However our stay was spoilt by breakfast. We were advised breakfast was served between 8 and 10am. We arrived at 8.35am and were the first to arrive-this seemed to put the lady in charge off jher guard and we had to ask if we were too early she wasn't rude but she was clearly over worked and not too happy. I ordered the poached eggs and was really disappointed to be served one hard boiled egg pretending to be a poached egg. So one egg, not two as expected... Hard boiled, cold on bread so thin that when I cut into it it shattered. I really should have complained but the women was run off her feet and I feel she would have been really annoyed and we hate confrontation so we left. Cereal choice of two, no butter, really weak coffee and cold toast completed our breakfast platter. We would not return no matter how cheap the room. Sorry to say.
