We had looked forward to stopping by Deetjens since we started planning our trip along the PCH, that maybe our high expectations did us in. We went for brunch, which maybe is their weak link, compared to lunch or dinner (even though we were recommended otherwise), and although the eggs benedict were good enough, they weren't 5 star worthy, and the pancakes that we had been waiting for were quite the disappointment. The quantity of maple syrup we got was tiny, and they were just not that tasty. I'd give it a second try, especially if we managed to find an empty cabin, as the Inn and the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, but when we went, it simply failed to live up to expectations.
