“Life Changing Experience”

If you want to know what it feels like to float in outer space just by standing on your balcony in front of the big dipper this is the place for you. We stayed in the Pacific Suite Upper. There are no words to describe the experience. It was priceless and topped every other travel experiences like Paris, Rome, Tuscany...

Room Tip: Choose an upper Pacific Suite over a lower closer to restaurant Check weather to make sure skies ar...

When I booked this residency I was not very sure how the place would be. But I still booked this place. The moment I arrived at Munnar I called Philip manager of estate residency. Then he advised us to visit for the Kathakali show and Kalari fight show, which is very near to estate residency. He arranged transport to take us sightseeing near Munnar town. The food was excellent. Nothing to complaint. Annie and the helping guy were very hospitable and friendly. They also planned and arranged for the next day sight seeing. They arranged an Tavera for our family From the time we checked in and till the time we boarded the bus back Philip and Annie helped us and guide us. Annie was nice human and she has become one of my good friends. And the owner of the property Philip was also an amazing guy. He was a very soft spoken and friendly guy. I would recommend this place to anyone without a second thought. Beautiful view from the bedroom and when you have tea or food, standard facilities but with a lovely warm feel in the wooden paneled rooms. Nice food, abundant chai tea and all at a good price. Not too expensive or far to get to the town of Munnar, but nice and out of the way and peaceful. The owners cooked for us and served us with ultimate care. Overall a great stay.

Room Tip: Good place to stay

My husband & I just came back from 5 days @ PRI in late Sept/early Oct. The experience was pure Zen-like bliss...from stunningly beautiful surroundings, friendly helpful staff (Marco, Jorge, et al), complimentary well-stocked fridge (wine 1st night only, champagne for our anniversary), tasty buffet breakfasts & lovely unique rooms. We stayed in a Treehouse (Innocenti) & an Ocean house (Molera) - the treehouse was architecturally neater w/gorgeous views of mountains & redwoods w/sky window for star gazing - even so, nothing could beat the vivid blue ocean & skies of our little thatched-roofed hobbit-hut... exquisite dawns, magnificent sunsets, clear terrace views of the Milky Way...we had sunny skies w/temps 70s/50s all week, no fog. Fog might have diminished the ocean house but not the treehouse experience. The Meditation pool was relaxing, as was the quiet. My husband hiked the redwood trails & meadow while I relaxed beneath noon's brilliant blue expanse. We saw whales, dolphins, deer, condors, hawks, hummingbirds, flowers.
PRI lets you either drive their hybrids or be driven - ask. I have disability issues but had no problem w/spa tub-shower combo - you use stool, sit on ledge w/towel, hold grab bar or edges, swing one leg over into bath, then other, stand w/grab bar.
Once we had dinner in-room & sat watching our own private sunset - the cod w/vegetables & bread pudding were excellent - w/two bottles of pinot noir it came to $425 - expensive but worth it. We had in-room massages (Jia & Krissy) & I had a Vibrational Resonance w/Christina in the spa - all were excellent. Tip well, immerse yourself in beauty & chill.

Everything was perfect! We will return...

Room Tip: Ocean house, great views, if no fog... Treehouse is a great value too, if you're worried about f...

We just spent 3 nights here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we could not have asked for more. Our room, which was really a stand alone unit with a completely private deck with a hot tub ( note it is tub, not a jacuzzi), was beautiful. The furnishings were completely in sync with the setting, our room overlooked the mountains and the view was peaceful and beautiful. The buffet breakfast, included, was excellent with lots of delicious choices from healthy options to not so. The service was excellent. The couple of times we needed to ask for something it came in a mater of minutes, no small feat given the spread out layout of the resort. The two nights we ate at nearby restaurants they drove us and picked us up. We never had to wait and the cars were all brand new Lexus crossovers. If you can afford it, t can't imagine a better place to stay if you are looking for a place to feel close to nature but be completely pampered. Warning for those of you addicted to Homeland--there are no tvs but they have Internet and a Sonos system that plays Pandora and allows you to create your own radio stations.

We recently spent 3 nights on this gorgeous piece of property. We stayed in one of the coastal houses. Our view of the Pacific was uninhibited. The room is perfectly situated, customer service is wonderful, grounds are spectacular. I have no criticisms of this hotel, but rather a few observations. (1) While the Sierra Mar restaurant is wonderful, it would be nice to have a place to eat that has more casual dining. Room service is available, but after a lovely day of hiking, hot tub soaking and massages, we wanted to go have a drink and casual meal in a comfortable atmosphere and found ourselves driving to nearby restaurants. (2) the actual shower stall is gorgeous with windows looking out over the ocean, but it was difficult to climb in and out of. Bathroom is small and dimly lit. One other suggestion would be to provide some sort of awning on the coast side balcony. It was a beautiful day, but the sun was so strong that we couldn't sit out on the patio for long. A little shade would have been perfect. Other than that, I would go back in a heartbeat! Expensive but fabulous.

Room Tip: coast side

If you want a getaway where you feel like you are on top of a mountain with only relaxation in mind, this is it. We have visited other resorts such as Little Palm Island and this rivals them. We stayed in a treehouse and it felt like we were on top of the world. The scenery is incredible especially with cloud cover hanging over the ocean below. This is the ideal spot for a honeymoon or any other occasion where you want to be alone with your mate. Pricey. But worth it.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Tree House but the rooms overlooking the ocean are just as fantastic.

Green Features: Very conscientious if that is important to you. If you are into recycling, organic gardens, bamboo shirts, etc. they are on top of this.

My wife's 50th bday will not soon be forgotten! What a beautiful resort, the views are the best I have enjoyed in California....the fools was spectacular, the service was 2nd to none....what more can you ask for?? Is it costly, yes...is it worth it, ABSOLUTELY YES!!

If you want to share an unforgettable experience, nothing can beat the Post Ranch....beauty, romance, comfort, fine foods, perfect service .....to name a few!!

Room Tip: The ocean view private units are worth the experience....
