“Orange marinara sauce?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Hate to say it, but this was the worst dining experience during our 10 days in Pto Morelos. It was also the most expensive! I ordered the pasta with shrimp, it was terrible, orange marinara sauce, really? Took a couple bites and could not bring myself to finish it. My wife ordered the chicken dish, very dry and came with a side of the same nasty orange pasta. Asked for the check immediately, the server/owner asked if everything was OK and I said no, we did not like it at all. It would have been nice if she would have made some adjustment to the check but it did not happen. Ended up being the most expensive meal out...that we did not eat!

“Good food, attentive service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

You know you are going to love any place that has a mural of badgers lounging in a Venetian gondola.

Especially if it has friendly service and the food is good. Starting with the garlic bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, we knew the place was good. It is a also a sign that you are visiting a place that is trying to be more Italian. We had the pizza and it was not fancy but nevertheless very nice.

Try the Badger Juice (Jugo de Tejón) - it's a lot better than the name makes it sound.

“House-made Pasta!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This very pleasant restaurant has good food and an extra benefit: being on a street that's shady in the afternoon and catches the sea breeze. We appreciated the friendly service and good prices (for the Yucatan coast).

“All around goodness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

We've been there a couple times with groups of 6-8 people. All of the dishes were great. We recommend the eggplant parmesan as a meal or shareable appetizer. So if the food wasn't good enough, now they are featuring some delicious desserts made by Julia. Last night the dutch apple pie a la mode was to die for. She also mentioned peach cobbler, which we will certainly warrant a return visit.
Sad that they ran out of chicken parmesan, but I'd rather that a restaurant run out of fresh food, than have an abundance of less fresh choices.
Once again Puerto Morelos scores with another great restaurant.

“Best Gnocchi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

This restaurant has the best gnocchi I've ever eaten. It's light and not chewy at all. The sauce is delicious too.

I also like their pizza and eggplant parmesan. The prices are reasonable and the service is very good too.
