“Good food, friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Our first restaurant in Puerto Morelos was not a disappointment! Empanadas were delicious, the service was first rate, and fine music set the stage for a great meal.

“Empanadas baked or fried!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We stopped in on a busy Sunday night and got a table for six right outside in the fresh air. Our server was great, and the food was fantastic. They have a diverse selection of food from various places, but the Argentinian sausage and the empanadas really made my night. I would tell anyone who is going to try them baked and fried, or just to stop by in the middle of the day for a cerveza and empanadas.

“Average At Best.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Hubby and I split five different empanadas for dinner. The crust were flaky, but they weren't the best we've ever eaten like other reviewers stated. One rib-eye steak was cooked correctly and delicious, but two filet entrees were almost raw (asked for medium) and so thin and chewy, it was hard to identify them as filets. The staff was friendly, but the chefs were slow--even though we arrived before the crowds and were only the second table seated.

“A real find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

This was our first time at Los Gauchos but will not be our last. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed. Like most restuarants in the area it is small, maybe 12 tables. So, go early or expect to wait. There were some reserved tables for large groups. Perhaps reservations are accepted. Food was good. Argentinian wine was great. Service was very good especially in light of the crowd. Unexpected bonus was a flamenco guitarist and dancer that performed.
