“Small quiet resort in touristic area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

It's a small resort with 2 pools only 20-30 minutes from Phuket airport.
The area Bang Tao Beach is very busy and crowded but this place was really quiet and away from the hustle and bustle.

The villas looked very nice with a lot of space and a big bathroom.
The other rooms looked also very nice with also a modern bathroom but no bath, only a shower (I saw them all).
It’s true that you have to wait a bit before you got hot water and if you want to take a bath, you have to wait at least 30-45 minutes before the bath was filled up with water.

The cleaning was good!

You get fresh water bottles each day.

The resort only serves breakfast but there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. For the real thai food you better not come to bang tao beach.
For us it was a bit a disappointment because we love the thai cuisine and this area is very touristic and the restaurants don't serve the real thai dishes.
I found it also a bit expensive to eat. A small singha costs 80 bath and dishes starts at 150-180 bath so for Thai standards it was expensive.
We've eaten a whole fish at nok and jo's and we've paied 700 bath for a small fish. At other places you pay 300-500 bath for a big fish.

For breakfast you could choose between eggs, toast, salads, croissant, sandwich, cereal,... (served at your table, not a buffet) and it was good.

There are a lot of mosquitos so buy a spray because they don't have mosquitoscreens at the windows.

The pool in front of the villas was really great, just a few steps from your room.

It's a perfect stay in a quiet resort in a touristic area!

Only 5 minutes walking to the beach (there is a small sandway next to the resort).
There is also a supermarket at 100 meters from the resort.

Previous reviewers noted a free ride to and fro tesco. No longer. But manee will sort you out - 200 BAHT PER KM! Total ripoff. Tried to sell us I'm a 1500b ride to airport. When we said we got it for 600, she offered 500. She initially offered a rate of 3000 baht.

I stayed a month in Thailand. This was the most frustrating place, starting with her "staff ride". The doors aren't sealed and you need to sleep with deet. She'll use you to the one restaurant across the street. It's empty. Only thing outside are hookers. It's in "that" lane.

No hot water. Wate in teapot doesn't boil either. But you go to complain, and she stands ready with lukewarm water from an unused espresso machine.

The air con isn't bad. Wifi sucks. Cable is grainy, but there is tv.

Cold shower.

As a young couple on our first trip to Thailand and a busy first stop in Bangkok, staying here was absolutely brilliant. Perfect location to the beach and bars after a small walk, but very quit and relaxing.Good communication before arrival to arrange transfers from the airport at a very good price (about the same as a taxi but much comfier and reliable).
Manee was lovely as we're her staff and so helpful at organising our day trips and getting some discount ;) free drop off to the market too which I recommend.
Villas quite close together so could here people leaving in the mornings which is good as it stops you from staying in bed all day in the very comfy beds! Breakfast good but basic.
Bed sheet did have a small stain but were clean otherwise, and a few cobwebs on the ceiling.
Excellent personal service to remember our flight times and names always!
Manee it was a pleasure and we will be back x

Highly recommend visiting tony at the reggae bar on the beach front past Tik restaurant, lovely fella and staff and mojitos!!!
And nok and jo's near the villa

Room Tip: Pay more for the bigger villas and get some mosquito spray for room and yourself

This hotel had excellent rooms/villas with a pool 5 steps from the door. However, no pool for children who cant swim. Beyond that the breakfast didn't have self service which I prefer. Beyond that, excellent

Away from the busy area but close enough to have access to great eateries and shops. Beach about 5 minute walk but very easy. Comfortable large rooms well equipped with coffee/tea making & bar fridge. Pools very nice right outside rooms. The villas were bigger with enormous bathrooms. Only breakfast served for meals but no problem with so many eateries nearby- one of the best was directly across the road called Bangtao Seafood - really friendly helpful guy who worked in with the villa people. Excellent meals there - eat in or take away. 3 minutes along road was a very well stocked mini mart for bits & pieces. Check in was easy - contacted re-pick up & were met at the airport late at night and taken directly - charged 800 THB but well worth it. The beach was well kept - lots of tourists in the Best Western hotel as you went on to the beach - further along sun loungers available with plenty of spots for cold drinks and shops selling swimwear etc. Quite a few people selling their wares but they were not pushy and when told no moved on politely.Back at the villa Mannee the owner was really helpful as were her staff - they were very friendly and went out of their way to help. We booked motorbikes through the reception and they went out of their way to track some down as they were heavily booked around the beach due to the number of tourists. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The only suggestion I would make for the accommodation would be that a bit more furniture be provided inside and out for relaxing. Also ask lots of questions before booking any safaris or island visits etc - we booked a trip to Phi Phi island through the Seafood restaurant at a good deal but it was not a good experience with hundreds of people on one large ferry - we had thought it was a small group of 35 -40 or so.

Room Tip: The villas have more space and are more separate than the double rooms though the double was very co...

Good location near beach. Mrs manee very nice manager, check in and breakfast area nice and clean. Villa lovely, really big bathroom and got one at far end, slightly bigger. Neutral and pleasant room. All the usually, good tv, safe, nice large bed. Breakfast quite small but nice, good Thai place over road that delivers. Nice for couples who want to chill out, don't tell the people with young children!
Pool clean and well maintained, some loungers for each villa.
One warning, mrs manees machine for payment didn't work on day we left so we had to dash to the ATM and pay by cash. A good choice!

Room Tip: Villas 118 and 119 more private as at end of pool. Smaller pool is shaded 24/7 so maybe that end bet...
