We had such a great experience with the friendly and accommodating service, booking the chalet and having special requests before the wedding for the bride to get ready at the resort in the booked chalet. The resort made it very special by leaving the air conditioner on for the bride to arrive and get ready with ease, and left a chilled bubbles on the counter for us to enjoy before the wedding. Room was clean, cool and very comfortable in the heat of Queensland. I highly recommend this resort as it is right on the beach with an island atmosphere. Feels like we got married in Hawaii.

Had a great break at Ko Huna. The new managers go out of their way to make you feel welcome as do the restaurant staff. We had an ocean view room which was clean, stylish, spacious and as good as some international resorts we have stayed at. The self catering facilities are a really good idea as you can pop some wine or sorbet from the nearby shops in the fridge when you need to wind or cool down. The pool is lovely with plenty of shade and our dinner at the restaurant was very tasty - some of the best salt and pepper squid we have had. A walk along the beach in the morning and afternoon followed by a welcome beer and a dip in the pool, not to mention the wild black cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets and possums who came to visit all made the occasion special. Great little resort at a great price with friendly staff. You will need a car to get around though if you want to explore but we were happy just relaxing.

Room Tip: ocean view rooms at either end of the resort would be our suggestion - we stayed at no. 14.

My partner and I stayed here for a birthday weekend away. Despite being a local I had never been to Kohuna before. The layout of the resort is lovely and the pools are fantastic. We stayed in an ocean view villa which was great. Fully self contained with a separate bedroom to the dining/lounge area. We could not fault the villa or the staff, in particular Ron the manager was fantastic. He was so friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. There was a function on at the restaurant the night we stayed but we couldn't hear a thing from our villa (#4). Dinner at Aloha was good, although the beer taps were empty and the bottles had just been stocked in the fridge so they were slightly on the warm side. Breakfast wasn't as good as dinner but the prices are very reasonable.
All in all a great stay, thank you!

We had my mother's 50th birthday celebration at KoHuna last night, and what a fantastic evening it was!
The food was fantastic, we had a three course meal, with alternate drop of the mains - amazing - the lamb rack were definitely a highlight, and the passionfruit cheesecake (gluten free) made on site, was delish!
The live acoustic singers were great, with songs to keep everyone happy till late!
My parents also stayed in one of the newly refurbished beach-front bungalows, no. 14 - it's been renovated to bring it back into modern beach chic elegance, with uninterrupted views of Bucasia beach and Brampton Island - they loved waking up to the view!
The new owners have done a fantastic job at restoring KoHuna to its former glory, and made sure my mum and her guests had everything they needed (and more). We will definitely be going back to sit poolside and indulge in a cocktail or two!

Kohuna Beachside Resort was a lovely stay for our Anniversary. Garden view room was very pleasant for a great price, with cute water features along the foot path. We had our 20mo baby with us so lots of animal life was really fun to share with him including plenty of ducks, kookaburras and even a possum. The room was nice and large with plenty of room for a port-a-cot. Air conditioned and a ceiling fan kept the room cool day and night. Very clean and comfortable bedding/furniture with plenty of amenities and very child friendly. Our boy had fun crawling around and making the place his own. Lunch was delicious at the Aloha restaurant - only a walk away, with beachside views. The lagoon style pools were great, with multiple depths including a huge spa to suit everyone. Very nice to cool off in, during the summer heat and retained heat as the sun set. Management is very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend staying here to anyone :)

Room Tip: There was a few parties at the restaurant with live music, but it was pleasant and we couldn't h...

Kohuna has just reopened and we were the first to stay. The rooms were absolutely wonderfull and clean. Could ask for nothing else. Completely self contained. Highly recommended. The restaurant was also brilliant. Congratulations to all in getting the resort to a high standard.
