“If you are prepared, it may be ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

The hotel itself is located in a rather remote place - no chance for visiting, the only thing people are after is chilling at the pool. So it you want to spend your holidays like that, it may be good for you. We were there with 1,5-year old daughter and it worked perfectly well for us, but rest of my family, who wanted to spend time more active, was totally desapointed. Of course, there are animations whole day long, but it is only in French. There is also a possibilty of renting a boat, but I don't know how does it work - it seemed to be a part of French travel agency.
Rooms need a bit of new touch (and you can feel it in all the rest of the hotel), but they are clean and there is not much one can say about them. It is the average - not big, not small, but generally you spend the whole day outside either way, so it doesn't matter that much. Air conditioning was working well and I think it is the most important thing when there is 40 degrees outside.
The service was very good. The staff was very helpful and polite.
Food on the other hand was...it is hard to say, as it wasn't that bad that I could not eat anything, but it was deffinatelly not good. And, as you could expect in the places like that, wine that we were offered for lunch and dinner was totally crap.
The thing that scared me a bit was stains that appeared on my swimsuit after just couple of minutes in the swimming pool. I don't knowe what do they add to water, but for sure it is strange. It is washable, but still it makes me think if it was totally safe.

We thank you for taking the time to place a review for our Hotel and spending some time of your vacations with us. As an All Inclusive Resort & Spa this property is designed for mental and physical relaxation. We hope you took advantage of our kids club for your daughter and spend some quality time with the rest of the family. As for activities we do have on a daily basis excursions to Olympia, Delphi, Athens, Boat excursion through Corinth Canal and lets not forget the surroundings, village of Saint Theodore, Loutraki, Megara or take advantage of our car rentals offered by Sixt International within the hotel or 5minutes walking distance from the Train Station that takes you literary all over Greece.

In Kinetta Beach we value our clients and try to offer the best we can. We have renovated 2/3 of the hotels rooms, we have included a third swimming pool, a brand new restaurant and a luxurious Spa as well as 3new buildings with brand new rooms and suites.

Regarding our Restaurants we have a large selection on our cold buffet (salads of all sorts), a starter buffet with warm specialties our main course buffet consisted of more than 7 different choices every day and a smaller Kids buffet. Furthermore, there is a large selection on breads and pastries and a desert buffet consisted of different desserts, ice reams and fresh fruits to meet everyone’s palate.

As far as our swimming pools there is a monthly chemical control on our behalf and a series of tests by the Tourism & Governmental Authorities that screen regularly all Hotels & resorts and we never had a complaint regarding our water. Our safest suggestion is that probably possible stains were from a suntan lotion of a fellow swimmer that lacked the courtesy to have a shower before entering one of the pools.

We sincerely hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you and your family once again in our Kinetta Beach

Why didn't I see Nadia's review BEFORE we went to Kinetta Beach Hotel? She is 100% right! If you don't speak French and you don't like to be treated like a 2nd class citizen DO NOT GO THERE!
Between 6 members of my family we speak 4 languages - fluently. ! unfortunately none of us knows any French! Like Nadia we were totally excluded from all activities! That didn't bother any of the "activities coordinators" -even if they knew English they would not use it! On one occasion we were told in a plain English" if you don't speak French you can not play water polo" !
If someone was serving fruits around the pool we were NEVER approached! If during dinner team members were dressed like Greek gods to entertain guests - no ONE stopped at our table.
I have never experienced such a discrimination ! and all that because I don't speak French ? We went on a vacation to Greece not France, I have never expected that speaking French would be a must.
Front desk staff was extremely helpful and polite. Food was very good, rooms nice and clean. Swimming pools and beach were gorgeous! but we learned our lesson a very painful way!

We would like to thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding Kinetta Beach Resort & Spa.
At first we would like to take this opportunity to address the status of our hotel which is not a full French environment rather a 60% French - 40%internationals and 90% of our team is Greek and 10% graduates of Tourism institutes from abroad.
Our Main French client is offering an animation service to its guests so the animation team concerns the French clients, therefore, Dinner animation was by the French team. Our hotel does not provide any kind of animation, if otherwise this would be in more than three languages. Nevertheless we have never been informed of a possible refusal to include in the games of any other nationalities.

As for your testament that you were never approached on extra servings by the pool, these usually are intended for our clients that have booked our All Inclusive program.

As for a general guideline all our personnel speaks English and French and have never witnessed or heard that anyone had any sort of problem or miscommunication.

We do thank you for choosing our hotel for your family vacations, we wish that your travel agents misinformation on the description of the hotel will not stand between revisiting Greece in the near future.

We are really happy that we choose Kinetta Beach as our destination to Greece!
We love the Hotel, the food, the beach, the animation and the weather but it was definitely the manager George Veltsidis who gave the human touch to the place and make it feel like home for us.
George was able to address all our special needs as we were a big family of 9 with my son being allergic to nuts (not easy!), he really treat us like family and we really appreciate that. Our first impression of Greece was outstanding and that was because authentic Greek people like George and Thanos (Our tour Guide).
He went out of his way to make us happy with Canada Day, a little detail that warm up our hearts and make us feel really special. He did a cocktail on the pool side for us and after supper brough a huge cake decorated with the Canada Flag on it.
We love the Greeks and would not hesitate to come back as soon as we have a chance!
Thank you George for making Kinetta Beach a magical place!

We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks for our honeymoon.

We both speak only English, but our travel agent assured us it wouldn't be an issue at this French-speaking resort. Well, none of the activites team spoke English, so we were not included in any activites and our excursion was in French, and no one bothered to help translate anything for us, they just smiled and walked away-literally.

We found the guests to be extremely rude with no manners and no concept of what 'waiting in line' means.

The staff were polite and the rooms clean. The beach was abolutely gorgeous and there was always a chair and umbrella available for the guests.

The food was okay-We were definitely expecting a bit better food in Greece.

I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a few days. The beach is a nice break if your sightseeing around Greece, but I wouldn't make it your stay for your whole vacation

We would like to thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding Kinetta Beach Resort & Spa.
As much as we d’like to, this “activities team” or animation team is a service provided from our French client to his clients. This is why they offer all of their animation in French language.
We do appreciate you comments on our staff, the accommodation and the magnificent beach we have. As for our restaurants and the daily buffets of breakfast lunch and dinner, we are surprised that you weren’t satisfied from all the selection of Hot, Cold and deserts buffets.
We sincerely thank you for your comments and wish that you will give us the opportunity to serve you once again in the future.

I got such a great deal on this package, airfare, land transfer, and all-inclusive resort. It used to be a private sort of club med for people from France, but it is open to the public now. The rack rate is about $400 per night, but I got a much better deal through Expedia. The rooms are so beautiful. The beachside cabanas are older, and not as nice, but the newer suites have beaufiful sheer curtains that blow in the breeze heading out to a good sized balcony. The window shades go up and down at a push of a button. The lighting options are astounding. It is very clean and the maids are very nice and very thorough. You have to put your room key (card) in a slot at the door to have power to the room, so when you leave the power goes out which is great for saving energy, not so great if you are charging laptops and such. Of course take a power converter with you.
The weather in September is hot, but not too hot. The water features on the resort property are exquisite, as are the grounds. The food is not served all day, there are set times for the breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. The "free" bars are open from 11am to 11pm. You can get drinks after that, but must pay. The young staff were mostly from Slovakia and were delightful. They all come to party at night in the bar and on the beach for disco nights (and most nights). George will set you up with any activities that you want to do other than the guided tours by Looky (I think that is what it is called). There is theatre most nights, pretty basic, and in French, those same players do games out by the beach and pools during the day like name that tune, but again, in french.
The pools are great, the Saronic gulf in the Aegean Sea is very warm, but the beaches are pebbles instead of sand. The food is good, but a surprising lack of fresh fruit variety in the mornings.
You can not get a bhooking at the spa, even if you go in within the first hour that you are there. Book it far in advance
If I go again it will be with a friend, since a female there amongst couples was sometimes a little odd. I usually do like to travel by myself, but this is one place where it would be better to have a friend with me.
There was a rail strike on while I was there, otherwise I would have went more places on my own and less on the french bus tours.
They close for the season around the 10th of October.
Sofia works in bookings, is from Crete, is into Socrates and is wonderful.
The bartender Sartiri makes people feel very comfortable.
I would go again.

Room Tip: The newer nicer rooms are a little further from the sea, but worth it.

This is one great Hotel!!! The beach is fantastic, the waters crystal blue, the hotel is right in front of the beach with bungalows were you literary open the door and jump to the water.
As a location it is ideal, very close to athens 35min, next to Loutraki and Corinth canal 10-15min, nice litle villages arround. From the airport it took as only 45min on a straight road!
The hotel is unique, huge, small buildings and bungalows spread on the gardens, full of palm trees, they got new rooms this year we tried the new suite on the new building, unbelivable!!! very sophisticated and glamour. the pools are huge, two of them with sweet water the other two with sea's water, a spa beyond any imagination. small but latest tech on equipment with an internal pool, a zen place to escape!
The mini club for the kids was great, children didnt want to live from there. Restaurants and food huge selection of almost anything you can imagine! a long buffet (we had the All Inclusive package) full of everything, 10 kinds of salads, 20 different dishes, pastries and fruits, ice cream, I m telling you a paradise for the kids and us too!
The service was great, lovely people ready to assist at all times! we even had a waiter bringing us some staff for the kids on our room! so much appreciated!!
We are defnetly going back on June or July of 2011 and I ll post again our impressions.
