Stayed here in September for three nights having booked the hotel at the beginning of the year as part if our two week tour of Tuscany. The location absolutely lived up to expectations and the rustic village feel to the layout to the property was very pretty. The best thing about our room was the view from the window - just stunning at any time if the day. It was also very quiet. The downside would be the limited tv (didn't bother us but I could see it might be a problem for some), the very small bathroom, and the bed that was rather 'springy' and is probably ready for renewal. I have to say that our room was very clean. Breakfast when the hotel was full could be like feeding time at the zoo, but we did enjoy three nice dinners at the hotel, where the cuisine ran to the traditional rather than fine dining. No complaints. The only thing (and not sure how you get around this) is that with wine tastings going on during the day there were some guests the worst for wear around the pool. They should have put in more practice before their holiday!

Please be advised that we just spent a week at this hotel - the rooms were not clean, the facilities were basic and not worth the price and there were bed bugs in our room - we changed rooms and the next room had a stench of stale urine and some other smell that I could not recognize. Upon leaving, our bags were infested with bed bugs and our bodies were covered in bites.

I have already notified the hotel.

On the up side, the people were incredibly pleasant and accommodating and I suspect they will do everything they can to remedy this situation.

We stayed at Il Borgo mid september for a week. The resort is a winery and beautifully built. Our room was very nice (it is rustic though, so one should not expect city hotel style rooms) and very comfortable. The bathroom and shower was great. The breakfasts were lovely as they were outside on the rooftop patio. The hotel staff were also very helpful and nice. All in all it was a great place to stay.

It took us a while to locate the hotel which is certainly not anywhere close to Radda!

The setting is nice, pretty traditional houses, the landscape beautiful, the pool nothing special but can prove very welcoming on a hot long day! the rooms have a heavy village feel to it. A small semi functioning tv, an empty fridge, no glasses make the room's equipment. The wifi is free but reception works only "outside the rooms" as we were told and discovered! The bathrooms are small with a basic shower and decent water pressure.

The hotel's wine reception/ tasting area and restaurant are beautiful, with nice views and the breakfast pretty decent (though they charge extra for any eggs and second coffee!!).

The service needs improvement. We were told we had to leave next day as it was full ( which was ok as we did not have a reservation), then suddenly they had, then we had to move rooms but no one came help carry our luggages all the numerous steps and paths..
At check they eventually ruined our holiday by ....not returning our passports.... Which we discovered 250km later and missed our flights. They didn't offer to meet us half way and after driving all they way back to get them, they graciously offered us a whole bottle of...WATER!
( what happened to their great wine???!)
