“Memorable experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We left early to see the beautiful countryside surrounding Monterinaldi; we thought it was incredible but never expected that the best was yet to come. Fabrizio, our wonderful host, gave us a tour of the facility (the harvest had just begun) and explained the process of winemaking very clearly. Then we were treated to an exquisite meal; starting with the antipasti plate, then a most delicious (yet simple) pasta; followed by white beans and roast beef (mouthwatering); and finally dessert. All of these dishes were paired with the most wonderful wines. There were 7 of us and we never felt rushed; in fact it was a magical day for all of us!! Thanks Fabrizio - I hope your wines make it to BC (Fabrizio had just received the OK that day from Ontario Liquor Board-I'm jealous!)

“Bucket List Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

I had the great experience to visit with my husband and our friends. We got a tour that was great but the lunch that we had was the best we had in all of Italy. Course after course of wonderfully prepared food paired with exceptional wine. They treated us like royalty and fed us like kings.

“Wonderful place and people, amazing wine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012 via mobile

We called only 30 minutes before arriving and they were kind enough to make a tour on the spot for us and another nice couple that drived in. We had a tour at the cellar and wine tasting. The experience was wonderful. I finally learned the legend of the black rooster. Highly recommended!

“Wine and lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

The lunch and wine pairing was fabulous as you have the opportunity to try five of their wines with a magnificent lunch. It was the best meal we had in our two weeks in Italy. The ground of the 17th century villa are splendid; the old chicken coop out back is gorgeous that you can picture it as a wonderful guest house instead. The tour of their facilities were informative and personal. The host Fabrizio adds that personal touch to the entire afternoon.

“Winemaker for the Day - Authentic Chianti Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

My husband and I made an appointment with Fabrizio in advance for the new Monterinaldi Winemaker for a Day "Silver" experience.

The tour of the facility and cellar were great and very informative, then we sat down with Fabrizio and Muro (the winemaker) to taste all their wines, and learn about them. Fabrizio translated Muro's thoughts and knowledge about the wine and translated what we were saying to Muro.

After we chose our favorite types of grapes, Muro and Fabrizio helped us blend our favorite versions, after 6 tries of mixing up the grape percentages we found our "compromise" wine. Muro sealed two bottles with wax and we got one to take back home, the other bottles will be arriving in a few weeks after we design our label.

This was one of the most truly unique experiences we had in Italy, Fabrizio and Muro were awesome! I can't wait to get the wine we created- I think it's one of the best things we did on our trip.
