“I love this place, just try it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Hotel Villa Campomaggio is a wonderful place if you want to experience the beauty and the peaceful atmosphere of Tuscany. I liked it a lot and I enjoy every moment I spent there. I'd like to advice everyone to try it. As you can see in the pictures, it's in the middle of vineyards and the local wine Chianti is delicious.
The room and the service were very good and relaxing in the spa at the sunset was the cherry on top.
The owner Alessio and all the staff are very kind and do their best to feel you at ease.
I hope to come back there soon.

The hotel was beautiful, set in a 14th century villa. We stayed in one of the self catering apartments. Its was very spacious and generally well equipped. It could have benefitted from a few essentials being provided like a sponge and detergent to wash up with.

We arrived from Florence by taxi, and quickly discovered you need a car to Gert everywhere. The nearest town is a good hours walk away and up some very steep roads. The hotel did offer to take us, but at a cost of €10 each way.

Be mindful there are no taxis or car rental in the vicinity and the closest are in Siena and Florence.

We spent three days in this fairy hotel, booking an exclusive package from their website. The package on offer included one day and two wellness treatments, but we extended the stay, we did not want to leave! All the staff is young and very helpful, but above all they are always smiling. In particular Chiara, she is wonderful!
The large and comfortable bed and the silence of sorrounding nature have allowed us to have a restful and deep night.
We really appreciated the breakfast, full of homemade cakes, and the SPA treatments. The wellness center has a big windows overlooking the hills, and so you can relax yourself, maybe after a jacuzzi, losing your eyes towards the green horizon.

We read the great reviews on this hotel, and we also read it has a new manager from this year. We really appreciate the location, a paradise sorrounded by vineyards. A magic place makes you feel in peace. Having breakfast in the morning in that yard is unforgetable.
We thanks all the staff for the kindess and helpfulness, they give us all the information we asked, about facilities and activities in the sorrounding.
Unfortutanely the pool was not open, anyway we enjoy the SPA, jacuzzi and my husband a relaxing massage too.
We recommend this fantastic hotel to everybody is looking for a perfect stay to visit the Chianti.

Room Tip: We recommend the Junior Suite number 22. It's very large with fireplace.

I went to Villa Campomaggio Relais & Spa last week and met Alessio and Olga and their wonderfully warm staff.
Villa Campomaggio is a typical old Tuscan Villa, enriched by precious frescos and vaults and surrounded by the amazing panorama of ectars of vineyards.
It has recently changed the Management. They have just reopened and their hard work to make Villa Campomaggio the perfect place to stay is really incomparable.
You cannot miss the superb welness area! All they were really welcoming and we will never forget the excellent glass of Chianti wine we had in the gorgeous patio.
Room was spacious and clean, overlooking the beautiful countryside. Also there is an outdoor swimming pool.
If you wanna feel the true soul of Tuscany you shouldn't miss this enchanted place.
