“Suited our needs perfectly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

My husband and I were travelling with our 2 girls aged 13 and 9 and this apartment was a great find. The location was fantastic, just across the road from the golden sandy beach with a zebra crossing outside the front door. Whilst the apartment was nothing flash it had every piece of equipment you could imagine (even down to a lemon zester!) far more than we have at home which made eating in a pleasure. We travelled by public transport easily to Nice, Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez (boat) and spent the rest of the time enjoying the fantastic beach and the local towns within walking distance. It was very busy (mid August) but with French holiday makers because that is where they like to stay. The owner could not have been more helpful, excellent communication prior to, during and following the holiday. We had trouble closing the shutter doors which are traditional style and in keeping with the apartment but really need fixing asap. Surrounded by facilities, markets and restaurants galore and a short walk to the nearby Frejus port which was beautiful, particularly at night. We also spent 2 days at Aqualand which the girls enjoyed. A couple of nights we heard loud bangs and found there were large firework displays which, due to the location, we were able to watch with ease, once we ran across to the beach and the other we saw from the apartment. We also loved it at night after the girls were in bed sitting playing scrabble with a glass of wine on the small 'pavement balcony' watching the locals of all ages play petang with great enthusiasm. Definitely a holiday to remember - I've just been told by my 13 year old she'd rate it 10 out of 5!!

“Beaches, boulevard markets and live music!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This is the first time we rented the apartment during the high season (5/8-10/8) and it was a completely different experience. We arrived around 22:00 and there was a big market in front of the house. It was very busy with tourists. All the shops on the boulevard are open every night till 01:00 instead of the few shops during winter/spring. It is really alive! We loved sitting on our little balcony and watch the world go by with a nice glass of wine en French cheese. There were also live classical concerts every night (free of charge). The beaches during the morning and early afternoon are not busy at all. Most of the people come to the beach after 16:00. I love that the apartment is next to the beach. So we could go to the toilet if we wanted to, make ourselves a nice lunch or got a cold drink. We had dinner in the apartment every night. The supermarket is just a 10 min. walk away. There are two Italian restaurants that were so busy there was a queue every night. We had a great time and a completely different experience than the last one! If you love the beach, boulevard markets, live music and watching “petanque” from your balcony this is the place to be during the summer.

“Optimal location on the beach!”

The apartment is located right on the beach in Frejus, ie exactly where you want to be! The public beach is great! Great market right outside the door 3 times a week and close to restaurants and shops. Beware of the beach restaurants, most are very poor. Instead go to St Rafael or onto a back street. Look it up on the net and search for "best restaurants frejus" Also, the harbour beyond St Rafael has some really good places.
Apartment is very nice althogh a little bit dark, we used it more as a base camp. However, if you want to cook your own dinner there are excellent opportunities.

“Romantic, culinary holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013 for a stay in January 2012

I visited the apartment in January 2012 with my partner. Had a great time, I really enjoyed the nice kitchen with oven and espresso machine and the bathroom with a relaxing bath. There is a nice market just in front of the house. Lovely fresh vegetables, olives and herbs good for romantic diners at home. Close to the railway station, we visited Monaco, Nice and rented a car to drive up to the little French villages up the mountains with little art galleries. Many shops, bakery for fresh croissants and a big supermarket (5 minute walk) with lots of French goat cheese and rillette. Just cross the street and you are at the beach. Nice restaurants even off season. Most touristic shops on the boulevard were closed in January. Would love to go there again during the summer months.

“Great beach access for relaxing in the sun.”

We enjoyed a week with friends in this charming apartment just a walk across the boulevard to the sandy beach. Marvelous self-catering features that would be wonderful for a family with children. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants on the boulevard just outside the building. Enjoyed a wonderful roasted chicken and potatos dinner purchased at the local street market that sets up just a stone's throw from the little porch/balcony. We also took day trips to both Nice and Monte Carlo via train (station just a short walk away).

“Great family accommodation right on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed at Frejus Plage during peak holiday season. It's a lively family resort with lots to do including boules court beside the appt., lots of cafes/restaurants, morning street markets and a night craft market along the main beach boulevard. The beach is great for kids. Super clean, sandy and gently shelving, although packed in august. That said we always got a place on the waterfront! The main advantage of this appt is its' proximity to the beach. It's right across the road meaning you haven't got to take picnics or valuables with you, and can stroll home in the heat of the day. The appt has a well-equipped kitchen, sky tv (handy for the Olympics!), two bedrooms, one of which has bunks and a single bed. It fits up to 5 people, ideally suited to parents with little ones as it's ground floor. It has a tiny terrace overlooking the boules court - your own cafe table for people watching! The only downside was the noise at night in the master bedroom but this wouldn't be a problem outside of July-August when the night markets aren't on. We hope to return next year.
