“Mid week special is a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Birthday celebrations so hoping for something special and it was far more than that. The starter of warm apple, pancetta and walnuts with lettuce that tasted like it was just picked from the garden won me over immediately. I've never tasted salmon as good. It was the first meal we have had where we truely tasted each component of the course, with each one bursting with flavour. We'll be back to try the Sunday lunch and plan to bring more people to experience the ambiance of the venue, the friendliness of the staff and the unbelievable food value.

“sunday lunch wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

having eaten here a few weeks ago i went back for Sunday lunch and was amazed as it is only €20 for four courses i thought it would be of lesser quality than the evening menu boy was i wrong and very happy to be so the food and service is very very good
the choice was unreal 6 starters to choose from i had the smoked salmon with herb mouse really different but beautiful to start and the good lady had the wild mushroom and smoked bacon risotto divine the homemade breads are to die for

the mains followed in a timely manner and are top top class i don't think i have ever gotten a better Sunday lunch than this really !!!!!!!!!!

half roast duck with an orange sauce was crisp and moist faultless
and the stuffed leg of lamb was tender and tasty
for desert where was again a big choice the floating islands are a blast from the past and done very well light and airy and the panna cotta is as good as any Italian restaurant anywhere
i hope to return very very soon for the evening menu again im sure it wont be long

“tantalising the tastebuds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

where to start, the restaurant is set in an old church with the sun beaming in the tower window in august evening the experience started magical we sat and ate on the altar, the food lived up to and exceeded what i expected it to, to start the goats cheese is stunning on the plate the taste delivered my partner had the lobster ravioli which was a special on the night and we were informed it was hand made pasta, not something you see regularly then for mains the trio of local pork is mouth watering and the chump of lamb is melt in you mouth goodness, for dessert the tiramasu is a must, seriously the best i have ever had and i order i regularly, and the brownie is so good there should b a law against it. we also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Noel who wouldn't give me his recipe for the tiramasu, the service itself was second to none, the price i would happily pay double what i paid for our meals will be back again soon for that tiramasu but gonna bring my family with me

“Truly one of the best meals this year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

from the moment my wife & I walked in to this amazing converted church we knew we had made the right choice for our anniversary meal & the chef did not disappoint us, for starters we had the pork terrine & the goats cheese, each was beautiful but nothing compared to the main course of locally produced trio of pork & the fish special of the day was hake with a mussel ragout, it was mouthwatering & cooked to perfection, we followed up with the chefs decadent chocolate brownie & the dessert of the day which was a lemon tartlet, the desserts were divine. We will return for sunday lunch next week for sure, especially after finding out that the chef puts the menu on facebook each week so we can see whats on offer
we can't wait to go back to preachers again
