3 nights stay. Enjoyed my stay. Excellent service. Definitely will recommend for stay. Visited for a marriage. Never did any staff say no for any request made, be it at 2 am & with a smile. Spa service was good & the food excellent. The beach was well maintained.

Had an awesome time at Grand Hyatt. Ruel - Asst Manager at The Dining was very very hospitable. Avoid Chulha - as the food is very Indian if you like continental. When we had been there the AC wasnt working in Chulha. We continued having food at The Dining Hall which was good. The sweets counter was extremely fulfilling for me as I have a big Sweet Tooth.
The whole spread was good.
We were VIP guests so the beer in Mini Bar was free but they forgot to intimate this piece of info with us. As compensation the half day I spent at Shamana Spa was free. They people running the show are excellent. The Swimming Pool had loud music on but the structure was incredible. The kids pool kept my son busy twice a day. After 7 the Swimming pool closses, but there is an indoor pool in the Spa which can be used.
The bay is very shallow so the sea is kids friendly but swimming is not possible. Splash Splash as much and if you get tired of all the activities - you have the Bath tub to keep the kids busy.
We had good food, relaxed well but what I really liked was the recreational activities for the kids. My son was busy throughout the day. His smiles and giggles made us crave for more. We surely recommend this place to everyone. Happy holidaying!

Room Tip: Please pay attention while booking. The facing of the room is important. Swimming Pool facing are...

Dear Malabika,

Greetings from Grand Hyatt and beautiful Goa!

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. I am glad that you had a comfortable stay with us and happy to note that you found Ruel to be very hospitable.

Team at The Dining Room is glad to know you enjoyed the food offerings and particularly the sweets.

We have options in cuisines for our guests of different taste buds, like Verandah and The Dining Room serving Continental cuisine, wherein the Chulha serving the authentic Indian taste.

The air conditioning of Chulha was just recouping an electrical power cut to reach to its required temperature at the time of your visit and i hope you will give our team in Chulha an opportunity to serve you in future.

This season we have designed a lot of leisure activities to keep the kids entertained while vacationing with us and it is nice to know your kids had great fun.

Thank you once more for your feedback and we look forward to your next visit

The Grand Hyatt Goa is a huge property allowing you to spend time within the resort itself. There are ample activities including the regular stuff - spa, gym, pool, beach.

About Beach
The beach at Park Hyatt Goa is better than Grand Hyatt which has a narrow beach not as sandy. But the beach front seating within the Hotel campus is quite nice. Also pool side sitting is quite nice too. But a narrow beach means no beach ball etc.

Superbly Kid friendly
We were travelling first time with our 2yr old. The Hotel staff was cooperative, the restaurants were flexible the chefs took good care of the kid's requirements - both types of meals (Indian, western etc.) Chulha has good Indian spread and "The Dining Room" has nice international spread.

Overall guest services is superb.

Room Tip: Dont confuse the Park Hyatt (away from hub) smaller with Grand Hyatt (closer to Hub) and bigger.

Had the misfortune of staying at Grand Hyatt , Goa recently. Right from check in which took about 2.30 hours , the service was pathetic. We were treated like second class citizens and the attitude of the staff was very arrogant. Room service took about 2 hours. Overall a very bad experience and would not recommend the place to anybody. Stay away from Grand Hyatt, Goa.

Located south of Panaji in a fairly isolated area of coastat Bambolim, it is regarded to be one of Goa’s leading resort hotels. It is also one of the most ambitiously built. This sprawling estate actually has a number of smaller residential blocks laid out around the main lobby block. The entrance is through a sun drenched cobbled pathway. There is little to fault in the resort layout. The white walled houses with light stucco relief are topped by red roofs overlook the sea and lush gardens in most cases, and some the pool as well. The architecture is reminiscent of old Goa architecture. A plant lover could spend hours admiring the beautiful plants, from huge coconut palms to tiny flowering plants. The white resort reflects beautifully in the pool waters. And contrasts well with the plants. It is largely clean, and has quiet corners.

The lobby unit is huge with multiple restaurants and bars, huge hallways and banqueting / meeting rooms, a separate entrance for events – mercifully. There is lots of sculptural art, sweeping staircases, public sofas to lounge in, and a sense of being away from the crowds already. There are golf carts to transport luggage, I guess, for I saw no guests using them, and the rooms sometimes can be quite a way from the central lobby house.

I stayed in house 2. The room, on level 1, was fairly good. Largish, it overlooked the sea, and had a balcony to enjoy the view from – though for some reason, the cushions in mine would not fit. The bed was comfy, the room had ample desks, two tables, a large wardrobe, phones, tv with limited channels. Besides the pricey mini bar, there are complimentary a tea/ coffee maker, apples  and enough cups. Plug points are a plenty, and switches easy to figure out. The washroom is large, and adequately supplied, from toothbrush to bath robes. Getting hot water in the shower is not a guarantee though, and I got tired calling.

A large room inventory – 313- means it is a venue for events – which may not be the best thing for the leisure traveler. Again, the flora is lovely though, dense, lush, with an accent on flowering plants.

The restaurants I tried – Confeitaria, Chulha, Capiz Bar were pretty without offering exceptional food. At those prices, there are options outside. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but not exceptional in any way. Dosa came in a staggering two options – plain or masala, and seating despite the restaurant being largely empty on the two days I did try, was controlled!

There is an adjoining beach, with easy access. Do not compare the grey heavish sand of Goa to the white ones at Boracay, Krabi or Mykonos – but make the best of it. The pool looks lovely, though did not have time to experience. The spa is in a separate building of its own, and reputedly so-so. Did not try myself.

There were various aspects that did not leave a good impression. I got locked in the room, and very embarrassed, called for help. Only to discover, from both the guy on the phone and the person who came to unlock the door, that this was a frequent occurrence! Surely the hotel could have corrected this, or informed.

More surprisingly, not only was wifi not free, there was actually a hefty charge. Does a large resort need to make money off internet services? Also keep in mind that this is a hotel that often hosts weddings and events – many of which are usually loud while the actual events happen. Unfortunately, the period preceding that is noisy as well, with lots of hammering and mike testing.

Easily the worst aspect, over four days, was the lack of service standard. Consistently, at restaurants, at the reception, from housekeeping staff, concierge staff - it was consistently poor service. The only time I got a decent response was at the event reception. This is a certainly a resort in a popular destination, but anyone able to afford a stay here can surely go to any other hotel here - service is better anywhere. It’s been in the news for the wrong reasons of late. While I can see the reason not to have cameras in elevators – there are a maximum of three floors, so fast travel here really, there is no need sulk in its, or any other account. It is a lovely resort, it just needs to run better.

Room Tip: My room tips are stay aways – the event lawn is next to houses 2 and 3. So avoid those.

I lounged on the lanai attached to my room and listened to the sound of the sea on the shore. It's really the nicest hotel in the area and the food is great. The Sunday brunch is a feast. The grounds are manicured perfectly. If you're looking for a perfect place to lay by the sea in a hammock with a book and be waited on, this is it.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor with sea view. It's worth it.
