“Great tourist attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Our grand daughter had a teachers only day so we decided to take her and ourselves to Wingspan. It was just wonderful. We all enjoyed the experience and just loved seeing how dedicated the staff are to training the Karearea (N.Z. Falcon). We so enjoyed seeing what Wingspan had to offer. Great tourist attraction.

“Brilliant show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013 via mobile

I was totally impressed with this facility, well laid out, plenty of room for the birds and they looked lovely and healthy. My 5 year old daughter and I loved the show with the falcons flying right past our heads, we both got to hold a bird and marvelled at their aerobatics
Highly recommended to anyone who loves raptors and good on you Wingspan for being so instrumental in preserving this amazing species.

“A must see for bird lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

If your passionate about birds or just have a general interest in birds then the Birds of Prey sanctuary is a must visit. The staff are very passionate and knowledgeable of all the different types of birds they have. The daily show of feeding the birds is something you can’t miss. To see how these birds can catch there food in mid-flight is very impressive stuff. They give everybody a chance to have one of the birds eat from their hands. We spent the afternoon here and that was plenty of time and if you want to know more about the birds stick around after the show and they are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Very cool afternoon trip.

“One of the best things we did in Rotorua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We were totally blown away by our visit to Wingspan and would highly recommend it. The demonstration is not "touristy" in the slightest but a real education on the New Zealand falcon and the art of falconry. We had the chance to feed a falcon and also learn how these incredible birds hunt and exist in the wild. Wingspan do amazing conservation work and we were glad to have supported this in a small way.

“A MUST SEE!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We live in Rotorua and every visitor we get, which is a lot since we moved up here, we tell them our favorite activity is Wingspan. The majority of those that visit listen to our recommendation and not one of them yet has regretted it. In fact we get them back and telling others about it. It is amazing how little New Zealanders know about their own amazing falcons. The flight show we have gone to so many times its hard to count and it is still as good as it was the first time. You must check out Ozzie the cheeky little NZ Falcon!
