“Great place in Phuket Old Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

I stayed here with my partner for only 1 night. We wanted to stay in Phuket's Old Town so badly and were lucky that - so close to Christmas - there was still one room available - this guesthouse has actually been recommended by another GH around the corner.
The room was clean, staff super friendly. We couldn't believe that the room was so cheap, in that location and incl a small breakfast, coffee & water.
Upon departure, the owner even helped us getting in touch with our driver.
Highly recommended !!!

Got lots of sleep here day and night between enjoying many of Phuket's beaches.
Perfect location in old town where all the food is great and much cheaper than at beach resorts. Walk east along Talang Road & there's a cut through (i46 Cafe) to day/night Market where you can eat until you burst- this also doubles up as the bus stop to all corners of Phuket! Ace
-Very pleasant staff always happy- allowed us to use their mobile to arrange our next stop
-Clean & Tidy with daily supplies ie soap&towels
-Much more than expected from budget travelling
=)

We stayed just 1 night during the Vegetarian Festival and couldn't have chosen a better guesthouse. Perfect location in Phuket's Old Town (not touristy at all which was great), close to lots of restaurants and right on the path of the Vegetarian Festival procession which was incredible to see. The rooms are beautifully designed and the staff was friendly and helpful. Really great value and overall just a really great place to stay.

By pure luck this guesthouse had rooms free after we were were finding no luck at guide book hostels along this stretch of road. So glad they did - it was one of the best places we stayed in our two month trip in south east asia. Astonishingly good value, especially for those on a budget, 99 Oldtown Boutique Guesthouse is a cut above the rest. A lovely old home with wooden floorboards, the rooms are modern, well equipped and very clean with heavenly air conditioning. It was a friendly family business in a great area in Phuket Town, which served as an oasis away from the rowdy tourist strips of Patong. A real gem of a guesthouse.

This is one of the most friendliest and homely places I have ever stayed. Myself, my partner and our 5 year old daughter stayed here for one night here before departed for phi phi. They were so helpful and even made us a packed lunch for a trip to phi phi. The rooms were great and faultless, as we're the family who owned it.

Room Tip: Go to the local market and not the night market it's much cheaper.

I absolutely loved this place - from the rooms to the staff, the guesthouse was truly delightful. I only stayed for one night as a stop off but felt right at home. There is free tea and coffee all day in the communal area which is a tastefully restored room with a pond, water feature and fishes, a welcomed refuge from the rain outside!

Our room was small but clean and had a TV, fridge (with complimentary water), AC etc.

Thalang road is very central and within walking distance of most, if not all, of the sights of Phuket Town.

The staff were very helpful and booked our taxi in the morning to the airport and negotiated the price for us with the taxi firm. They were very smiley and came to the door to send us off, which was a pleasant touch.

In my opinion, Phuket Town is a best-kept secret. People are naturally gracious, smiles are genuine and the food is delicious.

99 Oldtown Boutique Guesthouse is a gem of a guesthouse. This year I stayed over 2 weeks and it started to fell like home. It is a simple venue but the interior design is tasteful, it is confortable and clean. The breakfast area in the inner courtyard available 24 hours for tea and coffee is a plus. It is great value for money.

Within walking distance are the Thai Hua Museum, local markets, small shops, restaurants and trendy bars patronized mostly by young locals This is where authentic Thai hospitality can still be experienced.

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floor with view on the inner courtyard are quieter.
