“Dine in style”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2014

Richard A in the previous review said it all. We loved the food and the atmosphere. We ate on the front porch by the rail each time we were there. The staff, Carol and Margaret, called us by name on our second and third visit. Definitely have whatever drink the bar tender recommends. They are all excellent!

“Eat where the stars once lived”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

Olveston House in Montserrat is the holiday home of Sir George and Lady Martin (of Beatles fame) for one month per year and for the other eleven it is a small hotel and restaurant. Many stars who once recorded at Montserat's Air Studios have stayed there during recording sessions.
The food is home cooked by a true blue "Geordie" lady and her daughter and offers good value for money and the food is really excellent. There is a well stocked bar and the hosts and their staff are amongst the friendliest in the world.
Tip: the best day / time to eat there is Sunday lunch time when you will meet the best of Montserrat's society.

“fantastic place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The best restaurant in Montserrat. Everything we ate was delicious. I'm not a fish person but the tilapia with the ginger orange glaze made me a fish lover. The atmosphere is relaxed and the before dinner drinks were so good, it was hard to stop at 1 or 2.

“Lovely setting, nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

It is apparently tough to get fresh food on the island and the restaurants mainly buy it from the supermarkets. This in mind, the food was nicely prepared and of fair quality. However, The thing that makes this a nice place to go is the setting and the staff, they were lovely.

“Curious place, Beatles history, and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

So, ever dined in the home of Sir George Martin, Beatles producer? Well do it here! We enjoyed dinner with family and friends, where everyone knows your name. Mr. Wilson serves us perfect rum and cokes, while Nigel (owner of Fly Montserrat) greets you at the bar. Margaret and Sarah, the staff create wonderful food options (tilapia here) with yummy rum cake.
