“Worst Hotel in Samui”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

This hotel looks very nice at first glance, but it springs lots of unwelcome surprises.
Just as other people said here, rooms and common spaces are old and need to be refurbished as soon as possible.
Rusty metal parts and crumbled walls are almost anywhere around.
We arrived at this small hotel around noon and our room wasn't clean already. So we went out for lunch and when we came back we had a bath in the swimming-pool, but when I came out of the water my foot fell into a hole in the wooden floor around the pool, since the wood is old and rotten there!
Then we tried to relax a bit in the evening, but sleeping was made impossible because by three dogs barking around the pool and the garden. I do love animals of course, and these ones are beautiful, but I think the owners of this hotel should train them not to bark and run and make noises inside the property at every time of the day. Isn't this a vacation resort?!
Then we went out for dinner (you need to rent a car or a motorbike, since there are no restaurants, shops or nice beaches nearby the property) and when we came back we found five big brown roaches inside the room in a few minutes. One jumped off the bed and ran behind the tv... So we complained at the reception and they told us they would have disinfested the room immediately, but the only thing they did was turning on the lights (!), so when I turned them off again another roach came in giving us a single possibility: leaving this place!
So we went out and found another hotel in Lamai, but the receptionist charged our room anyway! And she told us that she has just been told that other hotels were experiencing the same problem that same night. Who the hell do they want to make fun of?
Forget about this place. Will send a letter to the Lonely Planet to ask them re-checking it. Samui is plenty of nice hotels (we had to change a couple in the next few days, and both were clean and well maintained and beautifully located), so simply take a look around and find a better one...

I stayed three days in the villa, and we were very lucky to get an upgrade to the room with 180 degree sea views and jacuzzi. The views were stunning, the room very comfortable and private. This would be a great place for honeymoon, or for someone who likes privacy and not a part of the rat race. To be honest, it is a little out of the way, and you need to get a taxi to all places. If you love the nightlife and love being in the thick of things, then this place may not be for you. But if you want a very nice relaxing place, with friendly staff, good food, great little pool, and where you can have dinner under the moonlight by the beach, then this the place. I had my 5 year old with me, and even though this place is not really for children, he was welcomed with open arms by the staff and he just loved the jacuzzi and our stay here. I stayed 3 days in the centre of lamai beach and I enjoyed that, but I certainly slowed down and was able to fullyrelax when I stayed here, and enjoyed just having a stunning view and time to read and take my time. I would go back anytime and highly recommend it.

It's a beautiful villa with spectacular 180'degree sea view. Our room has a private heart shaped jacuzzi at balcony facing a beautiful sea view. Friendly staffs treat every room guest as family. Very romantic place recommended for couples.

We are checking out of this beautiful resort today and are a little sad about it. After reading some of the reviews about this hotel we almost canceled but we are so happy we didn't. I want to address some of the over exaggerated negatives that have been said about this place:

Road noise: yes there is a little but it's not that bad and ver caused us any problem what so ever.

Beach: no its not really a beach you would swim at however the pool is beautiful, they serve you drinks at it and it's at the waters edge. We took two walks a long the beach that were most enjoyable and stopped for dinner at one of the little beach restaurants which had some great Thai food.

Rooms: the rooms are nice and bright, very beachy with beautiful sea views. Yes maybe they could do with a little bit of pain in some small areas (not needed for the entire room) but who cares they are stunning rooms.

Location: I think it is totally stupid when people complain about location. You should do your homework on accommodation location before booking. If you don't like the location then don't book. In my opinion the location is good. There is not a huge amout of things around the hotel but there are still restaurants with bars in them on the beach and if you want to go out to party just get in a cab and travel to Chaweng, that's what we did one night and to be honest we were happy to get back to our hotel to sit buy the pool and not be bothered by masses of tourists.

The staff are great here and treat you like family. The sun beds are situated by the pool on the man made beach overlooking the water. This is a great place for couples looking for a romantic relaxing time where you can be waited on by happy staff. If i had to say one negative it would be that the a/c in our room was a little noisy. Would I come back here? Yes for sure! Thank you to the staff that made our stay so fantastic!

We went on our honeymoon and stayed for 8 nights in June 2011. We had a great room with a huge terrace with 180 degrees ocean view. We loved it.
Every morning we had breakfast on the terrace and the staff delivered it quietly and professionally.
The restaurant was OK and served us well as a backup, no revolution and not fancy, just fine.
The pool was excellent.
The beach was destroyed by a flood, but could take a walk on it, snorkled once in the ocean, no success.
The staff was fantastic, professional and caring. They really wanted to help out.
The internet WIFI sucked in the room, but is fine in the lobby area.
The massage area was fine, but we recommend to buy it elsewhere (too pricy for the quality level)
The rooms were a bit out of date, but very clean and nice. There were great AC-cooling, TV etc. We really liked the rooms.
The bathrooms were nice, but again the spa/tub was a bit worn.
The windows of the room/bath were again a bit old and worn.
I believe that the hotel could benefit from a paint job and a general run over of refurbishment.
All in all a great stay and a good hotel. Not the "Four Seasons" but very cozy, nice and very intimate.
The staff was over all fantastic and they all knew our names and habits, needs and cravings.
When hanging out in the pool, they always came over and served a drink, either by habit or inspiration by heart?

Thank you Nalinnadda for a fine stay.

Cons:
- the hotel is located right on the road, the road is quite busy and you can clearly hear especially at night time. and it really bothers!
- there is NO beach in front of the hotel. At least at the middle of september. There is some sand around the pool which can not be considered as the beach. Right on the waterfront there are stones.
- the rooms, equipment and furniture are old. The steams from the shower in our room were pointed in 10 different directions.
- there are thousands of ants in the rooms
- you will definitely need a bike or car to go around. there is almost nothing around.

Prons:
- the girls who work at the hotel are great
- there are a lot of little details which make this place very special - you can choose the smell of the cosmetics (shower gel, shampoo, etc.) when you check in, the breakfast is served in the room at the time you ask, the menu in the restaurant is cool, etc etc etc
- the rooms are designed in a very nice way which makes them very light and pleasant to stay as long as you don't mind few lizards inside
- it's located right on the seaside and the sea view in the morning together with waves sound can not be bad start of the day

This place can be very nice to stay as long as you do not have high expectations about it. The feeling you get from the pictures provided by the hotel owner is wrong and in reality it's much more simple and quite old. And this is the biggest problem of this hotel that you are shocked on the first day of your stay in Samui - it's not what you are searching for on vacation, right?

We really enjoyed our week here. The room was fabulous and the staff excellent. The young woman at reception was fantastic. I lost my mobile somewhere between the airport and the hotel and after she made a few calls it was established it was in the bus. She volunteered to bring it too us the next day. There it was the next day. Everyone was very helpful. Our view was exquisite. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!
