We stayed here for the second time and it was excellent again. The owners, Claudia and Bernd, are very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is from an excellent quality with a lot of fresh ingredients and home made products.
In the village you will find 3 restaurants and a small shop for grocery and fresh bread to make your own sandwiches for the day out. The rooms are clean and comfy and staying on a farm has the special charme which i cannot describe but it is a feeling. The most rooms are en-suite with private facilities. If you like biking you can easily rent bikes at the local supplier or use bikes provided bij Claudia and Bernd. The river Weser has very nice paved roads on both sides, especially made for biking or walking. A ferry will bring you to the opposite banks of the river.
If you travel with children it is nice to follow the trail of the verytales written bij the brothers Grimm. These verytale writers are world famous and the cities on the trail have there own special statues and history. Although this trail is not signposted you can easily find this on the internet.
There is also an indoor swimming pool in the village, free of charge!!
Helping with farming and take the pony out for a ride can be made on request. Animal farms to feed can also be found on this farm. In the back yard there is a playing ground with equipment.
If you travel as a senior and like to relax and you don't want eating out booking a half or full board can also be arranged. Staying here will cost you no more than 18 Pounds per person per night, so it won't break the bank!
