Everything others have said is mostly true.
The staff are really friendly ... But then so are the flies.
It is really quiet ...apart from the endless high pitched buzz from the angle grinder being used in the nearby boat repair shed.
The villas are small and have outdoor bathrooms ...yes they are small and if you are over 6 feet then you have a great view over the wall whilst showering in your bathroom.
Tamarind Bay actually does not have a beach ...it has sandy weedy flats when the tide is out and sludgy water when the tide is in.
The resort has great views ..particularly of the big yellow entertainment pontoon anchored about 300m offshore.
It does photograph extremely well, it is quite cheap and it seems to really appeal to holidaying expat teachers. We met three groups of them from varying locations around the world in one night there.
If you want to go anywhere you need to hire a scooter and the roads are incredibly bad on Lembongan. As is the amount of garbage strewn around (which probably accounts for the high blowie population).
