This hotel clicks all the boxes. The building is huge, spread over a hillside overlooking the beach and ocean. From almost all the rooms the views are perfect, There are a couple of buildings were another wing may interrupt the view, but still not bad.

The breakfast's were great with lots of variety, but a little expensive. They have a small shop in the main lobby where you can buy coffee and a good variety of breakfast items. Then the best part...back to the room which had a huge deck with table and chairs that was perfect for breakfast, while overlooking the blue Pacific.

The "Big Island" is big and a car is handy, particularly if you don't want to eat all your meals in the hotel. Two little problems, the hotel charges for parking and the Internet is also extra. In my room particularly the Internet was not functioning properly the whole time we were there. I'm not sure whether that's bad or a blessing...my vote was for blessing.

My wife and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Hawaii and I'f have to say this is one of the best. Enjoy.

Attended a conference at this hotel. Our room was beautiful and spacious with nice decor. It's right on the beach and also has a beautiful pool. Several eating outlets (very pricey) and the food was good (not excellent, but good) There's no shuttle service and the hotel is a 20 minute drive from the closest town with shopping or activities. Limited number of electric outlets and the ones that are there are behind furniture or under desks. If you are going to vacation here and expect to just be at the pool or on the beach, you will like this hotel. But if you are wanting options for eating or walking around to do a little shopping, you'll need to figure out if you want to pay for a taxi or some other way to get to the areas that have that. The staff were very nice and the layout of the resort was easy to get around in. The hotel was totally sold out when we were there and it still didn't feel very busy and that was nice.

Room tip: all rooms have at least a partial beach view, so you can't go wrong with any room--all have a balcony or outside area with tables/chairs

We're glad your conference brought us your way! Did want to mention that there is a complimentary evening shuttle between our hotel and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel to expand our guest's dinner options...so perhaps next time you visit you can give that a try! Mahalo.

a great hotel. very large but well kept and clean. right on the beach. There is a pool and jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds. You can get clean beach towels, whenever you need too.

Rooms are a good size, and the bathrooms too.The balconies are large too, or terraces for the rooms on the ground floor.

food is good, we tended to buy our breakfast from the shop and eat it on the beach - best way to start the day!! the buffet breakfast is also nice - but checkout the prices first!

The beach is beautiful and it is a long stretch of sand. Beware the sea can be quite rough here, and very strong waves. The sea isn't really ideal for kids because of this.

The pool bar meals are also nice, and the restaurant too. The views from here are stunning, and you can watch the sunset.

This hotel is not really near any other places, so if you decide to go out you'll need to get a taxi, or hire a car.

You can book tours of the island from the hotel, and other activities too.

Room tip: higher rooms have a better view of the sea/beach

This hotel was a gem. Location, location, location. It is nestled on the best beach on the big island, Hapuna Beach. The views are to die for. Amazing white sand beach and white clear, warm waters. The hotel itself is beautiful too. Very clean and well maintained. Nice, relaxed staff. They also have a beautiful pool area. This place doesn't not feel corporate (Hilton), it's paradise at its best. The food is a little expensive but so is the whole island. It was a perfect place for our family of four.

Had a perfect stay starting with the aloha of Doris at the front desk.Apparently I had made the reservation online for the following weekend by mistake. The Hotel was completely booked but Doris was so kind and manaaged to find me a beautiful room. I was very impressed and grateful. The beach is gorgeous as is the pool bar area. The rooms are upgraded and tasteful. Everyone on the staff was just wonderful and gracious, food was great, a wonderful experience overall. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: Ocean Front rooms are fantastic
