Have stayed at this hotel about 5 times now. Our favorite by far in the Big Island. The Roma are big, bathrooms huge. Clean, quiet. Never feels crowded, doesn't have that cruise ship feeling that many big resorts have in Hawaii. You don't have to wake up at 7am to put a towel in your favorite pool or beach chair. Pool is heated so it was just perfect. You can sit next to it and look over the beautiful Hapuna beach. Many other reviewers mention there's nothing to do after 9 PM in the hotel. Very true, is quiet and relaxing. If you want party late at night, Ibiza, Mykonos or Santorini are the islands you want to be at, not Hawaii. Where they could be excellent is by improving their food offerings. Their main restaurant Coast Grille is closed 2 days of the week, and unfortunately the quality is mediocre. So your other option is pool bar, god drinks, but not a lot of variety in menu. They have a gorgeous Terrace overlooking the ocean below the lobby, unfortunately even there's a bar in it, there is no food, no drinks, no nothing served there. Very comfy couches and chairs that would be heaven if you could get some Mai Tai's and small food plates overlooking the pacific. A real wasted opportunity. Excellent breakfast buffet. But I've never sen so many wasted opportunities to make what is a truly...Have stayed at this hotel about 5 times now. Our favorite by far in the Big Island. The Roma are big, bathrooms huge. Reopen the Asian/sushi restaurant! Improve the quality of coast grille and have it open every day! We rented a car for the 10 days that were the and went to dinner at all the different resorts along the coast, from Manta in the sister hotel Mauna Kea, which was excellent, to the Four Seasons Hualalai Grill, which was also very good. If you have no cAr your dining options are limited. There's an evening free shuttle to the Mauna Kea who has a few more food options. Overall, great hotel, but with little effort it could be excellent.More
