“Prices times 3 in three years !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

The location is great, the rooms are spacious and the private terraces are acceptable. Yazdee, the manager, is a friendly and talkative guy, BUT ....
The prices are much too high when compared to the other guesthouses. In three years time a room went from 400 rps to 1200 rps !!
Cleaning and service have gone worse, not what you would expect when prices go up like this.
Rooms are only cleaned when you ask. Bathroom you have to clean yourself. Very poot service. A nice manager won't make all these wrongs right ... No internet, no wifi, no fridge.
Not recommanded ! Acceptable for 400 rps but not for 1200 rps ! There's better deals on the market.

-Hardly 50 m away from da beach.
- Rooms are clean and big and spacious.
-Balcony to each room bt not much of view from it..
-AC rooms available
-Basic but clean bathrooms with all accesories.
-24 hours hot water on request...
-Bedspreads not so clean.
-huge cupboards and cabinets and dressing table.
-internet available
-no food served.. only tea and coffee.. avoid it..
-da only bulb isn't sufficient at night. could do with a good tubelight.

But all in all a very good place to stay at. Proximity to da beach is the best part... Completele worth the money.

Room Tip: carry ur own bedspreads.

Famafa does not take reservations. they have a 9:00am check out time so you have to be there early in the morning to get a room. It is worth it.
The rooms are lovely and cool (great ceiling fans) and each rooim has a bolacony. In February there were no mosquitos (or not many) but there was no way to put up a mosquito net - this might be a problem later. There was hot water (although not first thing in the am - as with passive solar I don't think their tank could be insulated effiiciently) .
The hotel restaurant has wifi (as does room 204/205 - I think - as it is right over the transmitter in the dining room) and so there were frequently people in the dining room. The food is not bad, but there are many cheap and cheerful options in Arambol.
We stayed 45 days but our friends have been staying here for over 2 weeks and at 400R a night have no complaints, and in fact, find it heaven. (They have the wifi room!)
It is close to all the action, although not noisy (and I am a light sleeper) - in Goa there is no loud music allowed after 10pm.
Arambol, like other Goa beaches is easier than other parts of India - and the hotel is no exception. Friendly, helpful staff, wifi, steps to the beach and great rooms (spacious and clean) all for 400R a night - best deal we found in India!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for 8 nights. The room was clean and quite big, we had our own private balcony, an effective ceiling fan, and the bathroom was ok with hot water. The price was Rs 400 per night, which we found to be quite cheap, compared to other accommodation in Arambol.

However, I'm not sure this place can be called a hotel, as it has no service whatsoever, just the reception. But this was ok for us, and if we ever go back to Arambol we would seriously consider staying here again.

considering that the majority of the accommodation in Arambol is directed primarily towards backpackers the Famafa Beach Resort Hotel offers above the norm with regards to standard and quality. The price of 450rs per night was nothing compared to the 1400rs we had been charged for a far less comfortable and dirty room in Candolim a few nights earlier.

The staff were helpful & friendly; and Mario, their resort driver, provided us with a very comfortable road trip back to the airport.

If you are not upto roughing it in a jungle or beach shack, but you want to get a taste of the laid back north of Goa, then I highly recommend you book yourselves in here.

this hotel sits 50m back from the beach off the main 'road' to the beach. Arambol is a small resort so it is close to all facilities and restaurants.

The rooms are very clean, ensuite with veranda, but slighlty characterless, you could be in any hotel in the world. One good point is there is hot water!! (a rare luxury in our experience). Also, strangely, our room had british plug sockets!

The resort is popular with israelis, however other nationalities are well represented, and there is a chilled ambience to the resort.

The hotel is slightly pricier than others available, but we felt it worth it for the hot shower alone (400rps our room).

The hotel has an indoor restaurant which no one seemed to use, also has std phone service and internet facilities and money/traveller cheque changing.
