“Simple accomodation with beautiful surrounding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

Stayed here during a visit to kundasang on 5~6 apr 2014. The rooms at this place are named by vegetables' and fruits'. And our room, its name is Onion :) Consists of 1 single bed and 1 queen bed, but it can fit up to 4 pax.

The facilities in the room is quite basic. Water heater is provided in the toilet (attached to each room). No toiletries provided except a shower foam so make sure to bring your own. Don't forget to bring your own towel as well. Electric kettle and cups are provided. No cupboard but there's a wall hook to hang your clothes. No breakfast is provided so make sure to bring some foods with you.

This place is not a high end accommodation so don't expect too much. But it's definitely won't make you feel disappointed because the surrounding area is really lovely. Lots of fresh flowers are grown there, and the view of Mount Kinabalu is definitely breathtaking.

Room Tip: Keep your shoes inside the room at nights as there are 'shoes thieves' that will do their th...

A little bit pricey for such cabin provide minimum facilities and cleanliness. The heater does not work properly until we fixed it ourself. The cabin is just besides the staff's house, too noisy! The night we stayed at Kiram's Village, chalet not far from us having karaoke session until midnight. Luckily, I was too tired to fall asleep. Besides all that, the view of the mountain is very clear and near ( it can be view from the window pane of the broccoli cabin's upstairs bedroom). The scenery of the village is wonderful. Overall it was a good experience to stay at a unique cute little cabin! Of course there are other types of room which you can choose. Canteen is available (operated by the local muslim).

Room Tip: Try the newly built cabin!

This is not a hotel but more of a private villas/house for rent by day or week or month. Each vill/house has private rooms (2-4 rooms) depending on the size of the villa/house, fully furnished, toilets & bathrooms and even small kitchen for guests to cook (cookware, cutleries, plates and such are all readily available).

This is a VERY homey and VERY do-it-yourself kinda place, which is definitely fun for family or even a group of friends.

Waking up in the morning with the view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest Mountian in South East Asia is not to be missed. Night time can be VERY cold as it is located right at the foot of Mount Kinabalu.

Easy access from Kundasang Town (40-minute drive from Kota Kinabalu City). If u love nature and adventure, this is definitely the one for you.

Room Tip: Book early to avoid dissapointment as it is so popular among the locals so it's always fully-boo...

Located just under the Mesilau pinnacle this place is a good hide out from a noisy polluted city.
Choose a cabin that suits your need; couple, small family or bigger family. During my visit, I picked a celery and tomato cabin. Comfortable to fit 9 adults and 2 tods. You can buy some raw food eg, vegetables, fish/chicken and cook inside the cabin.

Need to have transport to come to this place. If the weather is good, you may see the pinnacle and the surrounding area. Need to have thick blanket or sweater as it get cold during night time or morning.

The room is clean and comfortable with amazing Mount Kinabalu View. But the negative thing about the Kiram's Village is located deep inside the town so you need a car to the anywhere you wish as there is no public transportation available nearby the Kiram's village.

I stayed at potato cabin which is twin room for 1night. The potato cabin still newly built. So the bathroom and bedroom very clean and comfortable. The weather was so cold, and they only provided very thin blanket that not suited to weather. But really enjoy our stay and had a great time here. The food at kiram's cafe very nice and delicious with very affordable price. And the most important is such a great surrounding.
