“''Friendly team and delicious food''”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

Visited the ''Sea Shells'' Bar & Restaurant yesterday with our family. The manager and all the team welcomed us very nicely. And the food was very good. I ordered veal which I did not manage to eat all but took it as take away and finished it off today. The only thing that bothered us was that the ceiling fan on top of us stood in one position and could not turn to the left nor to the right. But otherwise everything was fine.

“Avoid this place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We went to this restaurant mid may on a tour of gozo as part of our bus trip. The place was very busy, We were shown a table near the door, We ordered a beer, 2 teas and 3 pieces of cake. The beer came straight away and after waiting 20 minutes the tea finally came. The cake never arrived. When we received the bill they had charged us for the cake which we didn't pay for. When my mum mentioned it to the Manager he mumbled something and walked off. Nobody apologized or anything. He was quite arrogant. When we walked further down the street there were some more cafes that were probably a lot friendlier. Would never go back.

“Basil Faulty by the Sea”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Xlendi is a beautiful location, but the restaurant is hard bitten by huge numbers of people mainly from the UK. On a day with few people around being told to move tables because they don't serve drinks at one but the one next it they do make Faulty Towers look professional. There are far far better places to eat so don't waste your money on this one.

“Don't opt for adding lunch to jeep tour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Choose one of the many other restaurants. To us, this is a GROUP tour spot. We had a fantastic private jeep day trip of Gozo; but opting for including lunch at extra cost was a HUGE mistake! (Because we had a delightful INCLUDED lunch in Sicily on tour with water and wine and delicious food, we took a chance on opting for adding lunch on our jeep tour.) When booking, they don't tell you that absolutely NO drink is included. Before agreeing to the extra cost of beverages after seated, I asked if they accepted charge cards. Although they said yes, later they told us our water & soda was 9 euros, THEN they said the charge is "no good" (even though 2 previous in Gozo went through & charge card indicated no attempted charge from the restaurant & WOULD go if requested). The food was terrible, owner was aggressive but the wait staff really tried and deserved better. We didn't stay for included ice cream. Again, enjoyed our day in Gozo, but regretted not choosing our own lunch.

“I'd rather starve”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant obviously has some kind of deal with the tour operators. You're offered a set menu - a starter of fish soup or pasta; main of fish or meat and dessert of icecream or cake. on presenting, you will simply be AMAZED that this restaurant can be allowed to operate. Some on my table opted to find CHIPS to eat outside as the food was sooooooooo poor! The fish main surprised me the most. I have very vivid memories of what I can only describe as "boiled fish"... It was AN EXPERIENCE.......
