“What a fantastic holiday !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

Just returned after spending 5 nights in this superb resort. We are a family of 4 with two kids. This was our first visit to Malta. I read the reviews of Seabank before booking the holiday, which I thought were too good to be true! However this all changed and we were surprised to recieve a first class service during our stay.

We booked through the Hotel Website and was given free courtesy transfer with tour operator Drifter. Check in process took somewhat longer, but that was a minor issue as the check in staff were very polite and helpful. Though we arrived at noon and check-in time was only at 2pm, we were given our all inclusive wrist bands straight away and we could have our dinner until our rooms were ready.

We booked a superior family room overlooking pool. The room was partitioned to two with a sliding door in the middle. Kids part had two beds, with a TV. There was a queen sized bed at the other part with another TV. Also there was a sizable balcony with 2 plastic chairs and table. The view from our room, 3407 was partly hidden by the dome.

The interior of the room was not grand, but average , though spacious and clean. There was no AC, but ceiling fans in each section. Enough space in wardrobes. There was a mini fridge with 4 still water bottles inside the fridge. There was a kettle and tea making facilities. We did not use the safe.Wi-fi connection in the room was good. No iron in the room but one could borrow an iron and an ironing board from the reception. Electric sockets are universal so you could use your chargers. laptops , hair straightners etc straight away.

The bathroom was not big, but of sufficient size. Bath and a shower over bath with a hand shower attachment. Shower control was slightly complicated to operate, though once used to posed no problem. There was ample supply of towels, shampoo abd shower gel. There is a hair dryier.

Rooms are made up every day and fresh towels, tea coffee sugar and toilet paper are supplied. The tiolet is cleaned, beds made and floor was wet-mopped every day.Our domestic was very courtasious and helpful. Sadly I cannot remember her name.

What can I say about food? 200% superb! Coral restuarant provides breakfast, general buffet lunch and international dinner every day, which does not need prior booking. The Laguna provides late breakfast until 12 noon, and late lunch and tea continuously until the evening. The specialist restaurants needs prior booking. Orjent provies a collection of Asian food s. La Vista specialises in Italian food with a kids menu in the nearby jungle restaurant. Rodizio is specialised Brazilian, though not our favourite. In all restaurants there is something for everyone at all the times. The restaurant staff are very hard working though very friendly and helpful. They are so over enthusiastic and would take your plate away,if you happen to be away for couple of seconds, which is a minor irritation though would not spoil your holiday. There are drink bars in each restarant with good colection of non-alcohol beverages. They also have beer which tastes quite dilute.

The bar opens from late morning until midnight. Beer, drinks ,alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails are free, though for spirits one has to pay. Once again the staff at the bar are wonderful.

There are variety of activities for adults throughout the day, everyday except Tuesdays . Kids club operates in mornings and afternoons. There are no activities in kids on Tuesdays. Special thanks to Belinda at the kids club who was really wonderful.

There was an outdoor pool, though only few people braved to dip in late December. The indoor pool is heated, but crowded. One has to pay a refundable deposit of 10 Euro for towels. We did not use the sauna or the gym, which are free to use. There were many other pampering options available at a cost. There was good wi-fi connection through out the resort premises.

Couple of warnings though. There are several cats in the premises. If you are cat lover like me that is great, but otherwise one may consider them as a minor irritant. One may be little troubled with house flies too, which I think is a problem in every part of Malta.

The hotel is situated at the main road facing the sea bay in a very scenic area. It is very conveniently placed as the bus stop is right opposite. The public transport is exceptionally cheap, a day pass costs only 1.50 Euro per adult and 50c. for a child. There are several tour operator desks at the hotel lobby too.

There is one thing I would like to specially mention .During our stay we had an emergency and my 8 year old daughter required medical help and visiting the hospital at night. Fortunately she did not have a serious condition. The guy on duty at the reception at the night was briliant to help us around 3 am. Moreover this was followed up by the reception staff later who posted a message to our room asking to contact them at my convenience. They wanted to know whether everything is all right. This was a very touching gesture and many many thanks for all the reception staff who made us feel very secure and not left on our own. You all truly demonstrated that you care for your guests !

Overall this was one of the best holidays we ever had. Would we visit Seabank again? Good luck for any one who would try to stop us !

Excellent resort, was here in Nov 14. Will return again. However a couple of points. First better if you have a car but very good bus service from just outside resort if you have not. Downside of car is that they have restricted parking spaces. This does become an issue on busy weekends when they have weddings etc. Also for the same reason booking restaurant table was impossible even though we tried to do this on the Wed for Sat. No info given or posted before hand to warn guests of possible issue.

Room Tip: Upper floors, sea view

My wife and I booked through firstchoice and stayed at seabank from 16-23 Dec and really enjoyed our stay. Chefs were very Accommodating as we are vegetarians and one of the chef from Asian restaurant even cooked a vegetarian dish to surprise us.

We visited here mid December. Staff were amazingly friendly, professional and helpful. The food was so varied that there really was something for everyone. We tried the Italian eatery, Oriental restaurant and the Brazilian BBQ, all of which I couldn't fault, and the Coral was equally as good. Breakfast was a highlight... the widest variety I had ever seen in a hotel, including freshly fried doughnuts, pancakes and cooked to order omelettes prepared by your very own chef. The only downside is that I managed to put on several pounds while staying! The bar offered a variety of cocktails and good local alcoholic beverages and was clean and well maintained.
The entertainment was not always to my taste in The Dome, but hey, everyone to their own. We all have a different idea to what floats our boats. I liked the male singer in the lounge area though, he had an outstanding voice and a good repertoire of songs.
The room was lovely and big, with a lovely pool-view and a balcony you could sit out in and watch the stars. The cleaners for the rooms were good, and topped up supplies as necessary.
The weather...gorgeous. On a couple of days Mellieha reached temperatures of the early 20s and people were still paddling in the sea. T-shirt weather in Mid December. You can't complain about that!

I will definitely be going back. Superb value (we paid around 650 pounds for 2 adults one week all inclusive plus London flights and complimentary transfers) and so Malta is so beautiful it is hard to stay away until next December!

We loved our time in Malta and thought the hotel was excellent with a wide range of food to suit all types. The drinks were overall great bit disappointed only carlsberg was only beer but the cocktail list was superb! The hotel is a hike to Valletta but it really depends what you have planned it is very well placed for getting to Gozo. We had paid a lot for a last minute deal hence the low rating for value but we couldn't fault the hotel and staff!

Great value for money. Highly recommended to all people looking for an all inclusive hotel with family. Activities for everyone and the food is great. Cocktails by the bar are very mouth watering and the atmosphere is great. Staff was always friendly and always there to help. Will visit again for sure.
