Stayed for 10 days in April, 3 adults and 2 children shared a two bedroom accommodation. As our children our young we had enough room but I would not recomend having more than four people in there - the bedrooms were a decent size but the living accommodation is small. The accommodation is basic but very clean, they changed our towels nearly every day and changed the bedding twice during our stay. If you stay in the Plataneras bungalows you can use the pools at the Atlantida and also at some private accommodation which you overlook. The staff are very friendly and the entertainment is good, especially if you have young kids. Our children are 4 and 6 and had a brilliant time - they have a kids disco at 8.30 every evening. It is a 10 minute walk to the main beach but it only takes a few minutes to get to the sea front. Plently of restuarants around - would recomend the ivy in Los Cristianos, best meal we had.

I would definately go again.

Arrived at about 2100 hours. Staff friendly and helpful. Our bungalows were rather a distance from reception and we had to carry suitcases up ramps and steps. Were provided with a map. Did eventually find the 2 apartments that we had been allocated. Apartments basic but fairly clean( although not upto home standard). Patios faced road but noise minimal and these were larger than most of the other apartments we saw. Patios not private so you have to be prepared to talk to the next door neighbours. Beds uncomfortable and furnishing tired and worn. Televisions were coin operated which was really annoying especially as we had teenagers in their own apartment. Pools smaller than they looked in the picture and not heated but plenty of sunbeds. Other activities like squash and gym, payable locally were on offer but again needed attention. In fact when we asked about what gym equipment was in the fitness room no one seemed to know. The location was good and only a short walk into Los Cristianos which was useful. This is an honest review and whilst I would not stay there again we did enjoy our holiday. As I had read 2 very negative reviews after I had booked and paid for the apartments I was extremely nervous about actually going. They were definately not as bad as I thought they might be. If you have booked then I would strongly advise you not to use the washing machine as I ruined a number of my sons T shirts! These apartments are probably suited to families with children under 11.

Having arrived at the las Plataneras complex after an 18 hour delay from Manchester, my wife and I along with my ten year old son decided to get settled, unpack and have a walk around the resort of Los Cristianos.
First impression of the room small but ok ,on our return from walking around the resort we visited the cave bar the entertainment venue for the resort at around 2130hrs low key entertainment, we deciced to get an early night due to mental and physical fatigue from the delay of our flight at 2200hrs the main entertainment started it was the loudest noise I have ever heard and this continued until at least 0015hrs being a true Brit we deciced to live with the noise and get on with it, to cut a long story short the same happened the following night so i rang reception and got our room changed, great we thought and moved the following morning to a much nicer and larger room the room was an end terrace apartment having settled down on the third night this was when the frieght train experience began let me explain suit cases with wheels moving along the tiled floor outside our room and this contiued throughout the night until at least 0500hrs when we eventully got some sleep, this continued each night, it got to the stage where were having to check each tour operaters flight timings through out the night and plan our sleep around the suitcase frieght train that continued each night (simple solution would be to place the non slip mats that are placed on the ramps all around the complex to minimise the noise. The rooms were the hottest I have slept in air conditioning is obviously not high on the managements list of priorities. Overall the island was absolutely stunning, with plenty to do for all the family, however a few issues with the apartments took the edge off a good holiday.

Until April had not been to Tenerife, have now been twice to Las Planterneras, once with our three children and once just my wife and I.

Excellent both times, very clean, excellent food and service, everyone was very helpful and most respectful.

When we visited with the children we all ate excellent food (five of us) for £30.00 total per night, where else could you do this?

Entertainment was also varied, good and every night.

Brilliant we are all going back in October cant wait.
