Hotel apartments with good quality and that I recommend. The restaurant should be visited . Warning that the letter of prices is not always agree with the receipt end. The main pool is always full and reserve a place is almost impossible. In the secondary pool the "Quiet pool" there are works of maintenance that produce many noises. The bus service from the hotel to the beach at Los Cristianos is good and it is recommended.

We have just returned form a week at Hollywood Mirage. I had read all the reviews so were prepared for the onslaught of the reps. WE ESCAPED...... As soon as we arrived we sat the kids down( 14 & 11 yrs) and we devised a code for the doorbell and a knock for the door. This worked a treat we did not open the door unless it was one of our family and therefore avoided it all. We did get knocks until around Wedneday by which time I think they had given up. TRY IT it Works!!!!

Now the resort....... Wonderful, Beautiful apartment, wonderful staff, clean, well stocked shop & pool was lovely. The quiet pool is currently undergoing renovation so that was not availble during our visit.

Bus service very useful as the hill is as described by other people aptly named Cardiac Hill.

Wonderful holiday in a wonderful resort.

This was a Promo week (we paid for a second week). We had never been to Tenerfife before or had an appartment (normally go All Inc). so we really didnt have an idea what to expect from the country or the appartments.

We were pleasently surprised. the appartment was lovely. Kitchen, (fully equiped) Lounge with TV, Bedroom and unsuite (Bath,Loo, double basin) also in another part of the lounge it had a seperate shower.Loo and Double basin. brilliant if you have someone staying in the lounge ( soffa bed) and a huge Balcony looking over the Pool could'nt ask for more.

There is a little supermarket there (more a shop) but well stocked with lots of variety (even had cooked chicken) very handy until you can get to a bigger and cheaper supermarket. we used it quite a bit as it was conveinient.

There are two pools one is the quite pool and the other is not. we went to the main pool which is the one where there is more happening. and we did not have any trouble getting beds but, i have to say some did. and one lady (who obviously has been there a few times before) was not pleased that towels had been put on and no one on them so, she had them removed. (i would say that it could be bit of a problem if you were in the school holidays as our second week was and it did become much more crowded.

We ate there a few times - Breakfast was lovely (only did this twice as ate in the room )- Didnt do lunch but had the chips (Yummy)- Evening meals, Delicious.

We also ate over the road at? Rosa (ant remember what it is called) and that was very nice. we did have a lovely Chinese meal down the steep hil and needed that hill to walk it of (Yum).

The entertainment in the Appartments was very good - only went a couple or so times but was very pleased and pleasently surprised at the various talent.

BIG BONUS - There is a free bus that goes down to the marina and back several times a day - stops about 7ish but then you can get a cab back - they call the hill "Cardiac Hill" and beleive me it is. but seeing that they have the bus it really is not a problem

The place is very clean and tidy and i would recommend anyone to go there. loved it so much that we are hoping to go back next year.

As i said we booked a second week and we had to move which was a bit of a pain having to pack everything up but, the bell boy moved us and the thought was worse then the actual move.

This appartment was not quite so grande and the balcony was much smaller and was oposite where the bus stops so the view was not as nice (good to watch the people go by)and also where the aircon generater was so, was a bit noisey, i have to say my partner noticed it more then i did.

Time share - we HAD (as promo week) go and sit and listen to them selling the timeshare and this was a really hard sell. we were there about 3 hours and when we said no, the manager came over and went through a lot of it again and was really NOT happy when we eventually said we would NOT be buying anything without thinking about it and we would come back to them if interested. we didnt because you can buy elsewhere much cheaper the they were offering. and we spoke to a few people who had. so, beware they are very convincing with a hard sell.

Beech (down into the resort) not my idea of a nice beech - black sand and (to me) the sea was not inviting me in (used to the Carribean)

We used togo down and walk along the promanarde as it went on for miles and there is some lovely bars and restaurents.

Would still go back tho and just take a VERY wide berth from seeing them.

Lovely Lovely Place.

We stayed at the Hollywood Mirage this February and had an absolutely fabulous holiday. The whether was perfect for us, sunny but not too hot, and the accommodation was excellent. We had a 2 bedroom apartment , which was furnished to a very high standard. We also had an extremely spacious balcony. The maid service was excellent. The only down side is that you may get disturbed by the RCI reps but I wouldn't let that put you off. Looking forward to going back in 2009 !
