“Nice pitch & putt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Had already played the Golf Las Americas Course and wanted something a little easier that we could take the kids to. Nice location with extremely friendly staff - The guy checking us in couldn't have done more for us (clubs for 4, balls, tees etc.). A little over priced for what it is but you're on holiday and everything else in Tenerife we found to be cheap, so didn't mind too much.

Had a few balls on the driving range first - Didn't use the the pitching or putting greens. Main 9 hole course nicely presented with a few hazards. All Par 3's but not that challenging (longest hole was 140yds) and unfortunately no water in the water hazards at the end of August - Am sure that changes the vista.

Kids (non-golfers) enjoyed it for a bit and especially enjoyed the cakes in the clubhouse afterwards, as we did the deserved Doradas!

“Quirky nine hole par 3 course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Each trip to Tenerife has taken in two rounds of golf at Los Palos. It is a quirky nine hole par 3 course with holes measuring between 80m and 160m. There are four holes where water comes into play (or there would be if there was any water in the two ponds; apparently the linings were damaged during construction and now any rain that falls drains rapidly away).

Although the greens are watered early in the day it is difficult to get the ball to stop on the greens unless you bump and run the ball. This won't work for a few holes as they are well guarded by bunkers. Nevertheless, it is quite a good way of perfecting your short game for British summer conditions (should Britain ever get a summer).

There is a practice range with a bucket of around 30 balls costing 1 euro. The cost of the round is circa 15 euros (not entirely sure as ex-pats I know buy Bono cards in bulk and therefore get a discount on each round and I just reimburse them the cost of the Bono card). Trolleys are free. Club hire available (cost unknown).

Overall, I'd recommend Los Palos if you want to practice your short game and are time limited; it takes between 60 and 75 minutes to get round depending on how busy it is.
