The beach offers all you can want of a beach. It's wide enough to lay in a less populated areas, or you can stay at the shops who sell drinks at very good prices or some even food.
you can get to the beach from "Faro de Maspalomas" and walk till the section that you love most. (this way is the best: you'll be able to walk just alongside the sea and on a bit firmer sand)
Or you can go to the RIU hotel in Playa del Ingles and walk trough the Dunes. (You should try at least once) Bit of warning there is a bit of gay cruising in the Dunes but you hardly notice it. The walk is hot and long but you'll see the beauty of the dunes this way.
The walk ends at beach post 7 (the gay section of the beach).
When you start at Faro you'll first have the family beach. If you keep walking around beach post 4 it will change to a nudist beach (still a lot of families there) and around beach post 7 you'll find the so called gay beach. There are just some more gay persons there you'll still find families between them. The atmosphere is a bit more relaxed in this part we found.
Sunbeds and parasols are for hire. 7,50 euros for two beds and a parasol. Keep in mind that at 5pm the service ends and the parasols are taken away. So don't arrive to late cause you have to pay the full amount, even if you hire at 4pm
The bars will close around 5:30pm.
Showers are only available at the start of the beach (Faro). Taxi's are available at Faro and at RIU. We never went further then beach post 7 so I don't know what to find there.
