“Bring A picnic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

The price of food and coffee was so marked up in Palmitos Park. I never mind paying for quality but we were already charged what was an understandably high price to enter(it can't be cheap to run a place like this) and to be charged very marked up prices for very poor quality food was disappointing, considering we couldn't leave to get lunch.

Other than that we enjoyed the day.

“Great day out!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Dont hesitate, just book it.especially if you are with kids. to beat the queues, book online,i think ticket is valid for 90 days from the purchase date and you are saving few euros. the highlight for us where an amazing dolphin show (you also get a chance to take a picture with a dolphin for £25 euros) and Birds of Pray show. Lovely location, with a massive restaurant and good toilet facilities. a bit scary drive to get there on a very narrow roads but it's worth it. we enjoyed it. Free massive parking:)

“Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

What a great place to spend a day. This is an immaculately kept park with a plethora of different birds to view. The cafe's and toilets are modern and well maintained and the meals and snacks are not dear (not worth taking a packed lunch). Exploring the park you can enter the Flamingo enclosure, See the Gibbons swinging on their island. Have your photograph taken adorned with parrots and Macaws' a lovely mementoes. Watch the bird of prey display, the best I have seen anywhere around the world. You pass through the Butterfly farm and the Aquarium and finish with a parrot show.
Whilst the entrance fee is a little steep it is well worth the money. As other reviewer have said it's in the middle of no where, but there are numerous busses to get you there. Like others I have hired a car and this place makes a great trip.

“Great family day out!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

We hired a car for this trip which was a relief as although many catch a bus it is practically in the middle of nowhere!
Great day out where we watched a dolphin show and birds of prey show.
Entrance is pricey but we booked a family ticket online day before and printed the voucher at the hotel it saved us at least 30 euros so it is worth booking online.
Food and drinks are also expensive but we were prepared for this and took our own food and drinks.
It is 20 euros to have your photo took with a dolphin, again this is pricey but if you are reading this review it means you are wise enough to be conducting your own research so save up! We don't normally spend this kind of money with our kids but we knew it was a once in a lifetime type of excursion and that the kids would naturally want to get their pics done.
The animals and dolphins looked well cared for and its a lovely place for walking around too, I would advise you to wear sensible shoes!

“Nice zoo in a great setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

This is a very nice zoo in a narrow steep-sided valley a few miles north of Maspalomas. Well worth a visit. You can get there by bus or by taxi. It is laid out with a particular route to follow to go round which seems good until you realise that due to way the various displays are timed during the day you end up having to go back on yourself at one point if you want to see all of them. Also you follow the same group of people around for a long time. Nonetheless it is worth seeing the displays of birds and dolphins as they are truly great. The restaurant got very busy at lunchtime. We had to wait for a table and the portions were huge so I would recommend getting a snack elsewhere in the park to save time.
