We recently stayed at Villa Salobre and generally were happy with the villa. We had a 2 bedroomed villa with a pool in the the Los Lagos part of the complex and were also right near to a large communal heated pool. I had read the reviews on here prior to booking and was pleasantly surprised as the villa we had was very well equipped and definitely had a full kitchen etc It was very clean and the facilites on the complex were also very good. The pools with the villas are very small - OK for our 2 and a half year old to play or to relax in but definitely not for swimming. The biggest downside for us was the weather - now you might think what an idiot you can't control the weather but the truth is the complex is at the top of a mountain and therefore it was very often cloudy. We would drive down to the beach at Maspalomas and it was beautiful sunshine yet at the villa all you could see was cloud! We had a couple of lovely afternoons when the weather was better at the villa and this was great but it felt annoying to have to drive down to the beach most of the time to get some sun!! We went in June so I can imagine this being a real problem and other times of the year. Location is fairly good for getting to Maspalomas, the beautiful Melonaras and Playa De Ingles but as everyone has previously said you cannot get anywhere without a car and my husband found some of the spanish driving style a challenge! Don't think we would stay here again but probably look for a beach side appartment in the Melonaras area as was very impressed by the high standards, great shops, restaurants etc.
