“Absolutely fine - value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2011

We visited the Tisalaya Park apartments for a week self-catering at the beginning of December and were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and overall standard of the apartment (having read some of the earlier reviews).

The apartment (24) was on the first floor overlooking the pool, it was very clean and fairly comfortable and there was minimal traffic noise, certainly not a problem, nor loud.
We did see one cockroach, but that was only on the balcony and at night and the cats/kittens were not a problem.

The only negative point I have and this is only me being picky, were that the beds were little more than camp beds and were fairly uncomfortable, but that didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the stay.

The kitchenette had mostly all that was needed to prepare meals, although we did take a cheap plastic electric kettle with us (thanks to a previous review).

The apartment was cleaned regularly and the towels changed frequently and although basic was perfectly okay for a week in the sun.

Poolside was fine. There were one or two sunbeds that had seen better days but there were plenty to go round.

The location of the complex was ok as we had hired a car and took the sat nav.

Playa De Amadores, which is about 20 minutes drive south, is well worth a visit and has a lovely beach.

We would have no problem in recommending this complex - you get what you pay for!

Room Tip: Apartment 24 is fine. Quiet location, pool view. Sunny most of the day.

Having booked and then previous reviews was extremely concerned about accommodation.
Then having stayed here found the apartments very good value and were cleaned regularly. No sign of any bugs as previously reviewed and only three cats.
Well worth a visit.

It all started well as we arrived in the dark, the pool area looked fab and the restaurant looked inviting.Checking in was a doddle and the receptionist efficient.Got to our apartment and it looked nice and clean and spacious, the bathroom was very clean and as we found out you get hot water one day then cold the next?
Beds were comfortable and all was well ,till @07.30 Monday Motorway traffic was our alarm clock for the rest of our holiday!
Quick summary IF only they had electric kettles if only a toaster Lastly if only a decent sunbed they were so damned broken or uncomfortable that in the end I had to buy a lilo.
Best to take a taxi 5 euros to visit the resorts BUNCHof Bananas the posher of the two.

Room Tip: higher floor better as the motorway sounds are muffled

We arrived on 12th nov 2011 at 8.oopm after a long day travelling, at the reception the lady was on the phone for about 5 mins before she talked to us we told her our names and told her we were there for 2 weeks half board we were given a pass for the free bus to the beach and a slip of paper for meals. After we dumped your luggage we went for something to eat we sat down and was handed the menu the waitress we produced the slip of paper given to us by reception the main menu was whipped away and this laminated menu was produced. The the majority of the sun loungers were broken that when the arguments start with the germans when everybody is trying to get a good one and there were no matteress any so after about half an hour your backside was numb. What with broken tiles in the bathroom to kitchen cupboards that was worn down to the wood if you want to boil the kettle i sugest that you put it on about 12 hours before .Go to the end of the road(were rhe finnish and norwegian flags are for some evening entertainment). For the free bus to the beach turn left it is easier the bus coming back is number 51(the last bus back is a complete free for all).

Room Tip: Dont go half board it is not worth the money

We stayed at Tisalaya Park for a 2 week holiday 24 th October . 2011.Apartment had everything that we needed..it was clean ,beds ok & we were self catering .BUT I suggest that you take a travel kettle as the kettle supplied had to be put on the two ring cooker which takes a while to boil ! Supermarket was just a 5 min walk .Holiday World 10 mins away but we found this was quiet disappointing.tho its a huge place prob busier in Summer months..We sunbathed by the pool most days it got very hot ! over 30 degrees for October it was great! ,At night we would take a (4 euro) taxi to Maspalomas beach front .Lots of eating places ,some expensive .Best deal Chinese Buffet eat as much as u like.( 6.88euro) Drink was expensive...Paddys Bar on the beach had a pub atmosphere and made us welcome...but a pint of Guiness was 4.50 euro plenty of football on TV...The 19th Hole.was another we went to...The shops are expensive too at the beachfront.but there is a market on Weds and Saturdays not far from Tisalaya Park lots of leather goods. towels,t- shirts etc be prepared to barter and you might get good deal ........All in all its what you make of the holiday yourself .Tisalaya Park apartment was cheap and we didnt have any probs with it ...dont listen to bad reviews !! it can put you off going . I was a bit worried myself after reading some before i went

Room Tip: We had no prob with ground floor..no roaches..bit of traffic noise tho!

Tisalaya park is very basic. Beds are creaky, cooker is two ring electric, kettle is cooker type whistle kettle, which takes a long time to boil,no toaster and a fridge. Nearest half decent pub is at Holiday world(nearby) but unless you are a Dom Jolly fan then no entertainment.Playa del Ingles is a 30 min walk away but is worth it as most bars have entertainment and taxis are only about 5 euro back to hotel.Bus to beach is okay as most restaurants in Maspalomas are near beach and are quite cheap and have good food.Shops in this area are quite expensive and up market but if you need shopping go to Playa del Ingles. Most shops cheap and plenty of supermarkets.Irish centre has good entertainment but is having problems with Police as complaints about noise.Still good as a place to chill.Jumbo centre good shopping during day but gay capital at night.Loads of pubs in Playa with good deals and happy hours so shop around.

Room Tip: rooms on right with reception at left very noisy as dual carriageway on this side.
