“very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2010

Home after a very nice holiday at the club vistaflor.Apts basic and very clean, the cleaning staff do a very good job.Good sized bedroom and bathroom upstairs, kitchen and lounge on ground floor, all nicely furnished. Had kettle, toaster, microwave and plenty cutlery delph, all you need really. The staff are most obliging, very friendly and helpful. Did not see a cockroach during our stay which is a great boast in Gran Canaria.
These Apts are occupied by "owners"mostly British who have purchased a week or more in a timeshare arrangement. There are rules which these owners do not abide by in their"own" complex. I refer to inflateables in the pool, towels on unoccupied sunbeds, football in the walkways, and singing and shouting on 2 successive nights untill well after 2am. As we were near the end of our stay these did not take from our stay overall. However been "AN OWNER"
does not give one the authority to make other guests feel uncomfortable. The Management should step in and insure that the rules are enforced.
Club is situated in lovely area,30 mins stroll to Maspalomas beach, same to Playa del Ingles beach, taxi to both 3 or 4 euro. For groceries go to San Fernando s/c or supermarket in Bellavista,or the Spar in Faro 2.
Restaurants?Gran Italia in Meleronas,Dusseldorf and El Nueblo in Faro2,Barbados rest and Merlinf near the Yumbo.
Overall a pleasant stay in Club Vistaflor and would recommend.

I recently stayed there with a girlfriend, and we enjoyed going to the Playa Del Ingles area which is only a 25 minute walk to the nightlife, and only euro3.50 taxi ride, which is handy for young people. There is a shopping area opposite called FARO2 which is a 2 minute walk, and must highly recommend El Nublo for food, was very yummy. Toro2 was also good. There is a Hard Rock cafe about 15 minutes away toward playa del ingles, which was great, although i think it might be closing down.
Regarding the rooms - we had a slight problem with Ants in our room, but it was cleaned 5 times in the week which was very good, and clean towels provided on each visit. We had to pay for the safe, and a deposit for the AC, but this didnt provide much comfort during the night. Most people slept with doors open but we chose not to, but if we had i doubt we have had a problem at all.

Having just returned from 2 weeks in Club Vistaflor, I would say that it is clean and suitable for 2 people, but too cramped for 4. There is only air conditioning upstairs in the bedroom and you have to hire it, meaning that downstairs where the other 2 people have to sleep is very hot and cramped. The linen is clean, but the pool towels also have to be hired and have definitely seen better days. There is the usual problems of sunbeds being reserved, but the pool is the best feature. At the time of our visit, there was no food at all available and no entertainment. Staff were not great at volunteering useful information, but were really helpful if you asked them anything. There is a safe available, again for a small fee, but generally both on the compelx and in surrounding areas we felt safe. Taxi's are cheap to get to Playa del ingles which is a much nicer beach than Maspalomas. Plenty of places to eat, though a bit of a walk to most or a short taxi ride.
Having spoken to people who have been there several times before, I get the impression that things have declined quite a bit recently.
If you can get to stay here really cheaply, then it may be worth it, but I will be asking serious questions of my timeshare rep.
We had a bungalow overlooking the tennis courts which wasn't bad, but they are in use from 8am-8pm
internet available for 1 euro for 15 mins in reception - 2 monitors

We spent a week in Club Vistaflor back in May'09. The apartments are nice, very clean, towels are changed every two days. You have your little kitchen there and your own patio too. Pool is fantastic! And there is just enough sunbeds for your use. But if you want a central location or even location close to the beach - this is not a place for you.

vista flor was basic ,but clean, no electic kettle or toaster, basic i would have thought, my main complaint was the food, my wife and,i went half board, to say the food was awful,is an understatment, cold , unappatising, poorly cooked,on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give it a 0, we ate there three times ,then gave it up as a bad job, and ate out, go to the vista flor by all means, look at the food, and upgrade when you are there, i have served in the army for many years, and grew up during world war two, when food was rationed, but i have never been served anything like it, and , i am not a fusy man.

My husband and I had a lovely week in the Vistaflor complex for the mid term break. This was our 5th time returning, booked each time through Budget travel. It's sold as 2 star accommodation in the travel brochure and I suppose is basic enough but we love the place and will return again. We almost feel we have a time share in the place at this stage. It's quite small, always clean and well maintained and a large number of the clientele are retired time- share people so it's always relatively quiet with few enough children and almost no teenager/twenties occupants.
The same management staff have been there since we started going in 2004 which I always feel is a good sign. The only criticism I would have is that perhaps towels/bed linen could do with being upgraded or replaced as some of them are beginning to show their age, though always very clean and replaced regularly.
We have 2 restaurants which we tend to frequent every time we go: the Barbados is about a 10 minute walk away up towards Playa del ingles ( next door to the Auld Triangle pub and near enough to the Yumbo shopping centre) and Michaelangelo's italian restaurant in Faro 2 which is only 5 mins away across the road from Vistaflor. We have had lovely and very reasonable meals in both of these and again both are spotless and have had the same staff there year after year.
4 of our 5 visits have been at the end of October and weather is always beautiful. When we left last Saturday temperatures were 32/33 degrees-it was actually getting hotter as the week went on.

Stayed here June 2009 and will be going back.

Very clean, really good cleaning service and a couple of towel changes a week. Ground floor with sofa bed, tv, kitchen with microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, etc and ceiling fan. Upstairs bedroom a good size with plenty of wardrobe space and air conditioning (deposit for remote control €20 refunded on departure!). Small balcony on upstairs level with washing line for drying clothes. Downstairs patio with table & chairs and 2 sunbeds. Pool a good size with kiddies section. Food available in apartments. Nice for a quiet drink in the evening and entertainment some nights.

Some apartments face the pool which is very handy as you are only a few feet away from the pool. Some others face a tennis court and offer a little more privacy and are still only a minutes walk to the pool.

Peaceful location with a couple of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Taxis to Playa del Ingles for lively nights out or Maspalomas/Costa Meloneras for good restaurants only €3.

Will definitely be going back.
