I spent a week at the hotel travelling with my husband, my brother in law and his wife. The hotel is fabulous, the staff and i mean all the staff , from the gardeners to the chambermaids, from the restaurant staff to the staff on reception, all were extremely pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were huge and beautifully furnished we even had a walk in dressing room. The food was excellent a vast choice both at breakfast and in the evenings, the restaurant staff were extremely courteous and very helpful nothing was ever too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful with many pools and loads of sun loungers never a problem getting these. There was live entertainment every night and several lovely bar areas. We had a fantastic time and i would recommend this hotel to anyone, Along the promenade it is maybe a 10 minute stroll to a shopping area and some nice restaurants and a little further along is maspalomas beach . For all you couples thinking of going i would recommend the midnight thalasso spa experience, its magical ! To sum up we were so impressed with this hotel we are planning to return in January for our 25th wedding anniversay .

as i booked an holiday at the gran canaria i found an offer with a travel agency ad on paper it looked good this is not a 5 stars
the lobby is impressive and so is the spa but it seems all as a big show and as i dont live in the lobby of the hotel i like my room to be quiet, well insonoried i hate having people moving furniture when i am sleeping, and i like a good bed, which wasnt thre case, also an old tv
i also like, in a 5 stars to have a coffeee machine, a body lotion,an air conditionner cream,some fruits
not having to queue up at the restaurant ( half board ) told to come bacl for another service one later later, which means that you have ne hour to eat, the restaurant staff is already tired and understaffd thr tables are very ear,no privacy, food so so
went or a massage in the huge and really lovely spa,but...had to wait 40 minutes and the massage wasnt very good
the " center " of melanoras" isnt much,but you have to walk for 20minute,
this is a very unpersonnal hotel, more like a factory
its ok fo all inclusive people but for a nice cosy charming stay i woldnt recommend

We stayed in this hotel in Easter time with young children (7 months and 4 yrs). The room was very spacious for 4 people with a lot of luggage, strollers, baby cot etc. The hotel restaurants were good, not stunning but good. Staff was friendly and professional. Room service variety wasn't really at 5* level, but the service was good. This is not overly high class luxury hotel, but very good family hotel. The other Lopesan hotel, Costa Meloneras is more "elegant" but in Villa del Conde you can spend a relaxing, easygoing, true holiday with small kids. The atmosphere is more relaxed. I would highly recommend this hotel to family travellers.

We have been one week in this hotel with my husband.
Hotel is very nice, from outside is illumined in the evening with many colors. When you come inside, to the lobby and reception area, you can see amazing view, very big crystal lustre and elegant lobby area.
Rooms are very big, big and comfortable bed, seeting area, terrace with table and chairs. bathroom is also big, with eparate toillet and bidet, separate shower and big bathtube. But the bathtub have no shower. In the bathroom is very bed smell from drain, which is not so pleasantly.
Breakfast is opulent, with champagne and caviar. Dinner is also very nice, with many kinds of cold starters, salads,there is cooking show with meat, fish. The sweet looks very nice, but taste almost same. But everybody can find something tasty.
Personal is always nice, careful and smiling.
In hotel area is 5 swimming pools with sun beds and ambrellas. All of them are nice and by the main one is restaurant where you can have lunch or icecream. we hade here lunch and was delicious. Also I recomment to be visiting absolutely amazing spa and thalasso. We have been there for round trip, ca 2 hours. You can enjoy swimming pool with whirpool, floating, many kinds showers, kneipp pool, steam bath, saunas and masages. Really you will enjoy.
The beach is cca 1 km from the hotel and you can come here with beautiful promenade. Also is near by hotel supermarket and promenade with restaurants, bars and shops.
Overall I recommend this hotel, but we dont come back, because is little bit snoby and this is not our cap of coffee. But this is only our opinion of course.
