I stayed here in July 2008 with my son who is 12 my partner and mother and father.This is the second time we have stayed,was a little weary the first time after reading the reviews.I cannot fault the cleaners on both visit they were always in the apartment cleaning.The pool side was very quiet which was a good thing taxi ride very cheap to the main town.Capri is a good place to stay, the location is away from the hustle and bustle so you can sleep.I must agree the place could do with a spruce up as its looking very dated.The price you pay is cheap so if you do not mind the tatty surrounds you will be ok.
We met a woman from Ireland who had decided to stay there since she arrived in February (she is probably still there now) beware if she is as a right pain in the neck,wants to know every ones business.Overall cannot complain enjoyed my stay and will go again.

I went to Gran Canaria last year around the same time so I knew that the weather would be great.

Last year I went to Playa Del Ingles with my boyfriend and a crowd of pals. This year me and my boyfriend were going with my mum dad, wee sister and her pal.

We arrived around 7pm on Sunday night. First impressions the bungalows looked ok. We were told that the bungalows were up and downstairs, although some of them were ours were just on the one level. As there was 6 of us we each had our own one bedroom apartment. On the first night we found that the place had a few big spiders! No Cockroaches though which was a bonus! That night we went to the holiday centre to get something quick to eat.

The next day we were by the pool most of the time, while my sister and Amy were in the pool me and richard and my mum and dad went a walk and got to the faro 2 shopping centre and had a drink, there was plenty of places to eat and plenty of bars. We went there most nights to get dinner.

As me and Richard were there last year we knew all the good clubs and bars to go to at the Kasbah and the Yumbo. All the night clubs are great, altought i dont really like Cream.

The weather was really good the whole time that we were there,even at night you didnt even need a cardigan or anything.

Overall the apartments were ok, basic but ok. The only thing was that there was no air con and no plug sockets in the bedroom so when we bought a fan for 19 Euro's we had to plug it in in the kitchen and try and point it into the bedroom! It was just circulating the hot air!! The maids only made a quick appearance once during the week, gave us another loo roll and didnt chage our towels, if your not a smoker it might bother you that the maids smoke in your apartment while they are "cleaning".

A second time they came, but they only left a toilet roll and a black bag sitting on out patio, they didnt actually come in which i wasnt impressed with.

The only place you nedd to shop in is the on site store. It has EVERYTHING!

The restaraunt is ok. the only time we ate in it was our last night just for quickness. My mum felt really ill after eating the steak.

On a Wednesday the bar and restaraunt is shut!! The waiter is a grumpy man and the "chef" smokes in the kitchen while preparing your food!! YUK!

I would defineately go back to gran canaria but i would stay in Playa Del Ingles again as it is much bettter for people mine and richards age (18 and 20).

Overall, it was ok. I wouldnt stay there again.

what can you say not a lot.first week saw the cleaners twice but second week zero asked reception four times for clean towels in the end we where given one med towel cut in half .i could go o n but please trust me dont stay here.just trust what other readers have said its true.i have given them two marks only because the bar/rest was ok

On the first day of our staying in the Capri bungalows the receptionist (see the photo) stole our money, food, cosmetic kit, and the shoes from our apartment.
In 5 days she stole the laptop and the photo camera from the apartment of our neighbors from Estonia.
SHAME!
