“Ideal Easter Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

We went for a five day break at the Cordial Green Bungalows and had a lovely, quiet relaxing time. The apartments are pretty basic but clean and in lovely surroundings. The grounds, garden and pool area were well maintained. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. On site minimarket which sold most things and everywhere easily reached by taxi for about 4 or 5 euros. Nice walk down to the beach to the lighthouse were there are lots of lovely restaurants and bars about 20 minutes away. Holiday World is about 5 minutes away by taxi which is great for the kids it has bowling, funfair and arcades. Also anout 10 minutes away to Playa de Ingles for nightlife if you want a late night out. The nicest day out though was to Palmitos Park where they have daily dolphin, parrot and birds of prey shows and although quite expensive you can spend a whole day here easily, well worth a visit :)

We have just returned from Green Golf Bungalows and this was a second visit, we went there same time last year, and on returning we were not disappointed at all, everything was how we remembered it, the grounds are stunning, and we went for a quiet and peaceful week and that is exactly what we had. I also was a little worried after reading a few reviews that the staff and cleaners, bar staff were not very friendly but we had no worry where that was concerned, quiet the opposite actually. We found that the food had improved a great deal, it was very good last year but we both thought the breakfast and evening meal was wonderful, very plentiful. Couldn't fault the food at all. We had one little problem, the shower was quiet dangerous if you had a small child in the shower as the water would run cold then boiling hot with out warning, we both find ourselves ducking and diving the whole week in the shower. The beds as many people say are very hard and uncomfortable I really would love to have the mattresses replaced. I woke up in the mornings with a ache in every part of my body. PLEASE Green Golf could these be replaced ?? Apart from that fantastic, and we will be returning again next year. We love it. If you fancy a day out you must go to Palmitos Park. With or with out children, I absolutely loved it there, worth every penny. Dolphin show is amazing. We had a local bus to take us straight there, very easy, and return again.

Room Tip: We had room 187 and it was perfect for us as we love the huge pool. sun most of the day.

Myself and partner are only back after spending ten days in this resort in the begining of May 2014. This resort is exactly as it is shown in the photos (no hidden surprises). It is really well maintained and spotlessly clean. I looked at some other reviews before we went and was afraid that the staff may be a bit offish, this couldn't have been further from the truth and from the first welcome at reception we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The only thing for me was I found the apt a bit confining size wise but I quickly got over this. Overall a lovely athmosphere and would like to holiday here again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room facing golf course which was very quiet and got the sun most of day and evening.

I stayed at Cordial Green Bungalows for 7 nights with my partner at the end of April and had a very relaxing time. The bungalow was very clean and we were lucky enough to have one just by the pool. There were ceiling fans in the living area and the bedroom, but as the temperature during the day was around 25-26, there wasn't much need for them to be honest. The beach is about a 20-30 min walk away but there is a free shuttle bus that can take you directly to the beach which takes about 10 mins, very handy. It was very quiet in the evening so the only feedback I would give, would be that they could possibly look at putting on some better entertainment in the evening, particularly for the adults. There is a lovely pool which is very well maintained and beautiful flowers that surround each bungalow, even the numerous cats are well looked after!!!

Eating out is quite expensive and a bit hit and miss with quality. Please don't be fooled by 'El Senador' on the beach front, expensive and, if you don't mind paying £25 for a steak with gravy as the 'green peppercorn sauce' and McDonald chips! then go ahead but I would do more research on where to eat for good value before you go or perhaps ask some guests. Overall, I really rate Cordial Green for it's cleanliness and attention to detail. Please try to get a bungalow that is not facing the road, the one's facing the pool are much better.

A lovely holiday at a very good price.

We were at Green Golf over Easter. It was our 1st time in Gran Canaria.we booked 2 bungalows to include our 2 school age children (one teenager). We emailed the hotel to ensure our bungalows were together, but still had concerns over our children being in separate accomodation.
We needn't have worried we were in no's 18 &19 overlooking the pool in a quieter area. We slept with the windows open at night so we could hear anything outside. The whole resort is floodlit at night, with high fencing all around so no worries for us.

The food was good, plenty of choice for everyone's taste, both hot & cold at all mealtimes. The BBQ night on Wednesday was excellent. We also had the most beautiful paella & mussels. The chefs are there constantly checking the food.
We were full board plus including wine, beer and soft drinks with meals.
We did ask for a picnic lunch on 2 occasions & had 4 enormous carry boxes with fruit, drinks, & a huge salad each.

The whole complex is beautifully maintained, the pools & room clean (the larger pool just outside the restaurant is heated). The gardens are beautiful. The rooms are clean
My only criticism would be the rooms are too small, but for the amount of time we spent there it wasn't a problem.
We loved the family of cats who were regular visitors to our room.

The free bus is very useful to get to the beach - beware of the 3 or 4 traditionally dressed North African women on the busy main pavement to the beach who try to shake your hand. Not sure what their role is apart from trying to sell you 'friendship' bracelets. Most tourists just ignored them.

We also visited Porto Mogan on Good Friday for the market, quite a long way (35 Euros by taxi, took the ferry back (about 30 Euros for the 4 of us with a coach to drop us off at the hotel).

The place was beautiful & well worth a visit. The markets sell the usual touristy stuff, clothing, leather goods, hats etc. there are lots of bars & restaurants overlooking the harbour. We would recommend a place on the far side of the harbour (can't remember the name) we had the best ever freshly made paella (said it was for 2 people), which could easily have fed 4.

We would stay at Green Golf again but it would be half board next time - too much food!

Just had great week in this lovely resort. Spotless well designed accommodation. Ceiling fans in living room and bedroom worked well as I was concerned about lack of aircon. Basic equipped kitchen. We sayed self catering. Had lunch in restaurant once which ok. We ate out for rest of week.
Location. It's a good 25 minute walk from maspolomas centre and beach. We enjoyed the walk. There is a free bus, plus regular public bus stop. Taxi is 3 euro.
We also walked into playa ingles about 40 mins again nice walk or 3.50 euro.
There is a supermarket at faro 2 within 5 mins which is useful plus a couple of cafe.
There isn't much else within 15 minutes walk. It did bother is as the resort so excellent.
Read reports of rude reception staff. We found them really friendly and very helpful.
Bar / restaurant staff ok.
Cleaning staff non imposing and did a great job.
Value for money exceeded expectations.
Couple of gripes.
Towels need replacing.
Pillows as above.
Note to management. Your pool and complex really are beautiful but the sun beds need upgrading from the flat hard uncomfortable ones you have. Adjustable beds do make a difference.
Over. 20 years this was about my 10th visit to gc, from now on fir a good value winter break I will choose to return to this resort.
I would actually give this place 4.5 stars out of 5. Brilliant
