“Great fresh pizzas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We visited Ciao Ciao a few times as very close to our hotel.
We really liked the fresh pizzas and ice creams.
The staff are friendly and attentive.
It is on the beach so nice to sit and watch the sea.
There is free wi-fi during the day too.

“Taking the money comes before new food orders !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

How Italian is that!!!Everything about this restaurant makes you realise how much you love Italy - and how lucky you are to have this exellent stop at Playa Meloneras. The girls take the bills around and collect the money

The food, drinks and ice creams are typically thoughtful, as in Italy, and the home made sorbets are quite exceptional.

The walk from Mas Palomas is a great pleasure - and the man outside the restaurant trawling for custom has the deathless line in patter - "come in please -it is not poison !!!"

A beautiful reward in a beautiful place - don´t miss it !!!

“Wouldn't go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

We went for meal on New Years Eve.
Not what I expected, and not particularly impressed. Wouldn't dream of going back.
As it was New Years Eve, I think they put the prices up for that one night as the menus weren't proper menu books that you'd expect. They were plastic sheets clipped together - hard to open and read the prices properly.
I asked for my meat to be medium cooked, my friends wanted theirs well done and they did it the wrong way round - I got mine well done.
I know you pay for the location in a restaurant like this, but I still think 25 Euros for a steak is too much. The chips that came with it were frozen fries where I would have expected homemade ones.
My partner was thinking of bringing in the New Year by buying a bottle of Cava and we did ask the waiter about what they had available. We were going to buy one, but luckily we didn't as the resaurant gave out free bottles just before midnight. The waiter didn't let us know this when we were enquiring.
The night was saved because it was New Years Eve and you have to have a good time. They gave out little party packs, grapes, cava and put on a firework display, but if it hadn't have been for that, I would have been quite disappointed.
There were 4 of us and a 4 year old child, and the bill came to around 160 Euros.

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Set a twenty minute walk away from the main lighthouse area this was quite a find. A cracking Italian trattoria with excellent service and good quality food all served outside next to the promenade. Highly recommended.
